The constant dropping thats required to stay in TvP is also really hard to do with Phoenixes on the map...will be interesting to see how players adapt to this, but if anybody can help Jinro with his TvP its MC. On a side note I have to agree with him, MC is looking solid to take this entire tournament.

Hmm, I was wondering why mixing in a little mech wouldn't have worked. It seems like if you have 1-2 thors beneath your vikings, the phoenix wouldn't survive long enough to chew through them like they could otherwise. Maybe the earlier economic harass was just too much and the midgame composition wasn't the problem. I dunno.

Edit:
I just don't think it forces "a thor opening" any more than mutas force a thor opening. You get the thor because it's amazing and you only need a small number of them, not because you're forced into something you don't want to do. My 2 cents.

Kinda dissappointed with Jinro's response. He lives in a house with some of the best protoss and a ton of talented people, but he has no idea what to do against a phoenix build? I feel like he has all of these resources to tap into and then turns around and says he had no game plan against a phonix build. A poor excuse imo.

I love jinro as much as the next guy, and have been cheering for him the whole way, but am I the only one who thinks this? (flame shield up)

I really didn't enjoy the write-up style

it was too slangy and there were little play-on-words that just didn't translate. Not chirping, but I'd stick to a more regular style

also, first game of rets just started getting written about like 10 minutes in???

Honestly, I think very few Terrans these days are very comfortable facing Protoss, especially if they want to play macro games.

It's interesting to note how jinro's changed with the tone of this interview.
It feels like before we would be saying "Oh you shouldn't feel bad you did farily well and HongUn is a semifinalist..." now it's perfectly appropriate "Hongun? That **** **** Yeah better shave that hair and get shit done."

Yeah because Im sure he hadnt thought of that. You guys should be playing in the GSL!

TvP Is a hard matchup to play, partly because protoss hard counters are really effective against terran units. (ex. Immortals, are much stronger vs thors and tanks, than against roaches, simply because losing a roach is no big deal, losing a thor or a couple tanks is hugely expensive.)Pheonixs are a really great unit and hard to play against. I really dont think giving obvious suggestions is really going to provide alot of help given the varying skill and unit composition involved.

Sad for Jinro though, He'll get that tvp solved soon and then we will have a foreign GSL champ! =D

Pretty bummed that the foreigners haven't being doing well in the GSL this season, but at least we still have Huk to root for! I do feel confident that Jinro will be back and remain a contender though. Haypro and Moonglade I'm a bit more worried about, and while I feel confident that Ret could do well, I fear that he may be getting discouraged.
