Motbob, that was a fantastic piece. TvT on Triathlon is sooo interesting, and the game you highlighted was the best of the ro32 in my eyes. Quality coverage with clear analysis, the spirit of the match really comes across. I don't think Mind was doomed, but he was definitely fighting an uphill battle -- so to speak. Near the end before his last desperate attack, there were a few pivotal moments where superior micro could have won him a spot on the high ground. A couple times Fantasy was down to just a few tanks. Not only did Mind not take advantage of opportunities for excellent micro to pay off, but Fantasy had some brilliant moves that punished Mind. At one point after extended engagement at and around the ramp, Fantasy unsieges the tanks he has right at the cusp of "no man's land", clearly looking to push up in the fog and score some free hits on the unsuspecting armor below. But he doesn't move immediately because he is listening (like a protoss player!) to see if Mind will move his tanks or get vision in response. When Fantasy sees Mind isn't paying attention, he inches his line forward and destroys the tanks on the ramp with no losses of his own. Essentially, Mind lost everything he had won in the prior engagements.

I agree BCs is a better move, but I believe all was not lost. Mind could have done some unorthodox gambles like a big drop on the starports, or flying some of his factories down to 6 oclock for faster reinforcement since he wasn't producing out of all of them anyway. The game was definitely at a very exciting point in the last 10 minutes where a little nudge would have made it go in either direction. For me at least I was scared Fantasy couldn't hold on until the very last fight when the BCs arrived on top of the ramp.
