Couldn't they have just used Ace as their spokestube? No, they have to sacrifice Ace, Ver, Caller, all to get through to the Town and kill a couple random greens, maybe wasting a vigi kill.

Haha, the best part of the game is seeing Mafia squirm in desperate attempts to shift the blame here and there. :D
Fishball and Capek put on a hilarious show for us, my favourites are these two parts:
