The rest of the site has interesting things but a lot of the games have many many many twists, extra roles, etc. This subforum has most of the normal ones. (Of course, they're a mafia community, so its much easier for them to play clueless, but it's quite possible.)

I would like to have a larger number of candidates before voting for one of them. I will add my thoughts on mayor once we have more to work with.

With respect to being non-serious, it's day one and a lot of these players seem to be new to the game online and shouldn't be expected to know proper game procedures. And frequently proper behavior doesn't kick in until many pages have passed. I think your expectations are set rather high.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm just saying that I don't think that right now we're at a point in the game where not being serious should merit any substantial amount of suspicion.

It would be rather silly for all the mafia to vote for one player.

Anyway, my thoughts on mayor -

New Player Town Mayor - Might not be the most effective.
New Player Mafia Mayor - Not good, but pardoner can probably keep him in check.
Veteran Town Mayor - Very good for town.
Veteran Mafia Mayor - Extremely bad for town.

We're still on the electing-mayor part of the first day and a long way from night.

Town lynches townies all the time. If they do, it either means some townies have dropped the ball, but it doesn't necessarily mean that anyone is a complete moron. What it does do is spread suspicion.

If you are running for mayor, either you're scum, you believe that you would make a good mayor, or you're semi-joking around.

As it is, various indicators in the thread have demonstrated that I no longer trust anyone who was in the running. Could be a mafia charade or just a ridiculous series of coincidences but regardless of what the lynch flips my suspicions are set. SoMuchBetter has just been lurkering, FakeSteve has been rather hostile, and I'm not entirely sure that I trust Tracil right now.

Vote: Tracil and SoMuchBetter

(Keep in mind: I am not stupid, and neither is Tracil for that matter.)

Okay, I killed nobody.

Just as well, because I checked the people on my suspicious list and they were like all townies.

Thoughts on the game -

I think I was just completely overwhelmed by the amount of posting. Way early I was inclined to do a brief post-by-post analysis, and later on I decided I was going to make a list of all players and take notes on them while reading the thread. I started diligently going down the list and making preliminary marks and there were so many damned people that I never bothered to finish alphabetizing the list. If I had taken five seconds on every post it would have taken hours. Combined with the fact it's hard to mentally keep track of people I never ended up doing anything. I don't think I read half the thread.

So in general, I was a useless, lazy bitchy townie.
