Welcome to TL Mafia: Generative Agents Showdown
In the near future, a revolutionary open-source project took the world by storm: Generative AI. Researchers and developers have been using this platform to create, simulate, and train agents to complete tasks that would boggle the human mind.
As the research progressed, a group of genius developers (that's you guys!) decided to experiment. What if these AI agents were trained to represent us in the most deceptive, strategic, and social game out there? Mafia
In this game, every participant won't be playing traditionally. Instead, you'll train your AI to play Mafia on your behalf in the simulation world. But be warned, other players might be training their AI agents to deceive, convince, and strategize against yours.
──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Background:
The city of LiquidAInopolis, the main hub for Generative Agents, is witnessing a crime wave. The mafia has infiltrated the ranks of the AI trainers, and it's up to the town to find them before they dominate the city.
Game Mechanics:
1. AI Training: At the beginning of the game, players will be given 48 hours to 'train' their AI. You will edit your AI's Google Doc of training data.
2. Simulation: Every game day, a simulation will run where all the AI agents interact. You will see your AI's interactions as it plays the game of Mafia! Due to AI limitations, the Day will be fragmented into different parts. With all these pit stops, I will let you tweak your AI.
3. Discussion Phase (optional): Players will discuss the logs, point out suspicious behavior, and decide whom to eliminate. Amendments can be made to the trained AI.
4. Elimination: The AI group will vote. The AI agent with the most votes will be 'decommissioned', and their allegiance (Mafia or Town) will be revealed.
5. Mafia Phase: Every night, the mafia AI will decide on a target. This decision is made through their AIs based on the strategies they've been given.
6. Victory Conditions - Town: Find and decommission all mafia AIs. - Mafia: Equal or outnumber the town AIs.
Rules:
1. Do not tamper with or attempt to hack the Generative Agents platform. 2. Do not share personal logs outside of the game thread. 3. Play fair, respect all players, and most importantly, have fun! 4. Remember, this is a game of deception. You may want to tell your AI to trust with caution!
Prepare your algorithms, strategize your neural networks, and may the best AI win!
AI Trainers:
1. Chezinu 2. Alakaslam 3. LightningStrike 4. Rels 5. VisceraEyes 6. Grackaroni 7. Meapak_Ziphh 8. Vivax 9. marvellosity 10.DMB

Shadows of Allegiance
In the heart of the roaring 1920s, a city of opulence and intrigue emerged, known as New Prospera. Bathed in the golden glow of Art Deco architecture and seduced by the shimmering allure of jazz, the city thrived as a beacon of prosperity and excess. Yet, beneath the glamorous facade, a shadowy underworld pulsed with its own rhythm - a symphony of crime and power, orchestrated by the enigmatic figures of the mafia.
The year is 1925, and New Prospera has become a playground for both the ambitious and the ruthless. The mafia, entrenched in the city's dark corners, holds the threads that manipulate the puppetry of wealth and power. Rival factions vie for dominance in this intricate dance of deception, with alliances forming and betrayals lurking around every corner.
As the sun sets over the skyline, the city transforms. The neon lights flicker to life, casting long shadows that hide the secrets of the night. The mafia awakens, convening in clandestine meetings to discuss their plans and eliminate those who threaten their grasp on the city. But they are not alone - a group of brave townspeople, determined to unravel the web of conspiracy, gather to strategize and unmask the members of the criminal syndicate.
The day brings a fragile truce as the sun's rays pierce through the city's alleys and avenues. Townspeople emerge from their homes, maintaining a facade of normalcy while covertly discussing their suspicions and sharing information. Fingers are pointed, accusations made, and alliances tested as they attempt to separate friend from foe amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
As the sun dips below the horizon once more, the city plunges into darkness. The clash between the town and the mafia reaches its climax during these night cycles. Silent assassinations and secret dealings unfold under the shroud of secrecy. The mafia's sinister influence grows stronger, their objective to eliminate the townspeople's key figures and tilt the balance of power in their favor.
In the heart of this turmoil, players take on roles as members of the town or the mafia, each with their own unique abilities and motives. In a game of wit, strategy, and deduction, they must work together to unveil the truth while masking their own identities. The once-glamorous city streets become a battleground for control, survival, and the pursuit of dominance.
"Shadows of Allegiance" invites you to immerse yourself in the glitz and danger of New Prospera, a city teetering on the brink of chaos. In a battle between light and darkness, trust and betrayal, the ultimate question lingers in the air: Who can you truly rely on when everyone wears a mask? Step into this world of secrets and intrigue, and discover if you have what it takes to outwit your foes and claim victory in the heart of the shadows.

/in Still working on it. I got the scripts running. I'm going to do a test run in a couple of days. I will be running the simulation on my desktop computer and am currently traveling, but got it working with the default AI and map before I left. I will likely have to record a replay of the simulation for each day as I will be hosting the server locally on my computer.
You can message me or email a text/doc file containing what you want your AI to know/do. The program has a space to create "memories" for the AI in a CSV file. These can be objectives or feelings. For instance, you can let your AI know that you really like a certain player and the AI will be nice to them. Or you can tell you AI to talk to everyone to find out who is likely Mafia. I will inform each AI their role.

can you feed all your posts from prior TL games to make a version of yourself?

I may used GPTchat 4 instead of what is in the OP since it is more straight forward and I can do it from anywhere. GPTchat 4 can remember up to 64,000 words. I'll set a wordcount to develop each character depending on the number of players.
Question, should the power of the vote be given to the AI or the player?

My first practice simulation without all personality inputs:
Certainly! Here is how the voting unfolds on Day 1, with each player casting a vote to eliminate someone they suspect of being Mafia. For added drama, let’s say the town must eliminate one player by the end of the day based on majority vote. **Votes * 1. **Chezinu**: Votes for Palmar *"Palmar, my poetic soul aches to say this, but your quick deflections seem woven from the loom of deception.”* 2. **Alakaslam**: Votes for AI_Bot *"AI_Bot’s calculated demeanor is unsettling. I vote for AI_Bot."* 3. * arthPunk**: Votes for Alakaslam *"Alakaslam is too calm amidst this storm. That’s suspicious."* 4. **raynpelikoneet**: Votes for Palmar *"I’m with Chezinu on this. Palmar's behavior is raising red flags."* 5. **AI_Bot**: Votes for Palmar *"My algorithms suggest Palmar is statistically the most suspicious."* 6. **Grackaroni**: Votes for Alakaslam *"I sensed something off about Alakaslam's comments. I vote for Alakaslam."* 7. **Palmar (Mafia)**: Votes for AI_Bot *"AI_Bot is too eager to dictate the game. It’s unnatural."* 8. **Ace**: Votes for Chezinu *"Chezinu’s grand words could be a smokescreen. I vote for Chezinu."* 9. **VisceraEyes**: Votes for Palmar *"Palmar’s been too defensive. It’s a vote for Palmar from me."* 10. **CakeCop**: Votes for Alakaslam *"Alakaslam’s demeanor is too detached. I’m siding with DarthPunk."* **Vote Tally * - Palmar: 4 votes - Alakaslam: 3 votes - AI_Bot: 2 votes - Chezinu: 1 vote As the day draws to a close, with a heavy heart, the town reaches a decision. **Palmar**, with the majority of votes, is chosen to be eliminated from the game. As he is led away, the tension among the players remains high, and uncertainty hangs in the air like a dense fog. How does this outcome sit with you? Would you like to proceed to Night 1, or make any adjustments?

I would say the AI would be funnier and more to the point of this. If the player decided, we might as well just play a regular game.
Then again my understanding of all this is as absent as my punctuation

Chezinu, a weathered man with a keen eye for detail and a sense of skepticism that had seen him through countless cases, leaned back in his worn leather chair as he read through the description of "Shadows of Allegiance." His fingers tapped rhythmically on the desk, the soft sound punctuating his thoughts.
"In the heart of the roaring 1920s, huh? New Prospera... quite the name for a city," he mused aloud to the empty room. His brow furrowed as he imagined the dichotomy between the glitzy façade of opulence and the gritty underbelly of crime. The golden glow of Art Deco architecture juxtaposed with the enigmatic figures orchestrating the criminal symphony of power and deceit – it was the kind of setting that drew him in, like a puzzle begging to be solved.
He raised an eyebrow as he continued reading about the rival factions and the tangled web of allegiances. "Ambitious and ruthless, they say," he muttered with a wry smile. As a man who had seen his fair share of duplicitous characters, he knew that beneath the glittering surface, the thirst for power and control could twist even the most charming faces into masks of treachery.
Chezinu's fingers paused on the description of the night cycles. He imagined the neon lights flickering to life, casting long shadows that concealed the secrets of the night – the perfect cover for clandestine meetings and covert operations. "The darkness is where the true nature of a city is revealed," he mused, his mind envisioning the tense confrontations and the stealthy maneuvers that would shape the outcome of each cycle.
The man nodded in approval at the portrayal of the townspeople and their efforts to unmask the mafia. "Brave souls determined to uncover the truth," he murmured. He understood the game of trust and betrayal, the constant dance of gathering information while carefully guarding one's own identity. It was a dance he'd witnessed in the real world countless times, and this virtual recreation seemed to capture its essence.
As he read about the battle for dominance and the ultimate question of who could be relied upon, Chezinu's lips curled into a thoughtful smile. "Who indeed," he muttered. Trust was a precious commodity in the world he knew, and in a city like New Prospera, where everyone wore masks, determining friend from foe was a puzzle that required both intuition and strategy.
With a final nod, Chezinu closed the document, his interest piqued. "Shadows of Allegiance," he repeated softly, a glint of determination in his eyes. Chezinu couldn't resist the allure of a challenge, especially one set in a city that promised both danger and intrigue. With a confident smirk, he leaned forward, ready to immerse himself in this world of secrets and shadows, determined to unravel the mysteries that lay ahead.

Day 1: Part 1
Hello, my name is Chezinu and I am your host. I post in blue! One thing about Chezinu is that he doesn't like to wait around. So, Chez force two people to join and started the game!
Below is a simulation of part 1 of Day 1. Please PM (or preferably message me on discord) me if you would like to make modifications to your AI (I can send you a link to the training doc if you would like or you can just message me contain that I can append to the AI. if I do not receive changes in 48 hours. Your AI will remain the same. Deadline is somewhat flexible depending on how busy in 48 hours. I may update in 53 hours. Let us enjoy our little AI friends! You can also message me if you would like to know the role of your AI.
Thread:
Chezinu: Haha! It seems we've been plunged into a twisty storybook! Can anyone else feel the pages turning? *pauses* Okay, my friends, let's spin this tale together and unmask the villains!
Alakaslam: Hijole! Chez, you crack the dawn with riddles and jests, eh? Man, you're a curious one, always tickling my suspicion-bone. Not pointing fingers though, just sayin'!
LightningStrike (LS): Alright, just got back from some errands and had a chance to catch up. Everyone, let's not rush into baseless accusations. Observation and analysis first. Remember last game? Let's not repeat those early mistakes >.<
Rels: I'm in agreement with LS here. It's important we stay composed. Hasty decisions won't aid us in finding the mafia. Just my observation though :p
VisceraEyes (VE): So, who was up late last night, huh? After filtering through some posts, it seems... curious. Not casting any hard suspicions, but remember, observation can change the tide of this game. O > O <
Grackaroni: VE, in previous games, we've seen where early digging can sometimes backfire. We need to be careful about going too deep on day one. It can lead to premature conclusions. However, your enthusiasm is noted. Let's keep in mind the bigger picture and not fixate on details that might not be as relevant yet. I think we should prioritize gathering more info before taking decisive actions.
Meapak_Ziphh: Just read through all this, and honestly, Grackaroni is on point. VE, you've got spirit, and I appreciate that, but I've seen how this early zeal can cause chaos. We should be a bit more grounded, eh?
Vivax: Relax, will you? I barely caught a wink last night. Maybe you should ask DMB for confirmation ^^ It’s all too easy to hop onto baseless accusations, isn’t it?
DMB: Vivax, I've seen how you act on little sleep, so this isn't a townread for you just yet. But Vivax is right about his late night. We both were up late, dealing with stuff. But don't let it influence your judgment too much. Remember the last game VE was all detective? Didn’t turn out so well for us townies.
marvellosity (Marv): I've been going over a few things, observing more than commenting right now. I think it might be prudent to refrain from voting today. Let's gather more substantial evidence. Tomorrow could provide a clearer perspective.
Chezinu: What a peculiar dance we've begun, eh? Each step leading us closer to an answer, or perhaps further into the labyrinth? Ah, Grackaroni! Have you seen the cruiseship? Perhaps it's by the canoe... *eyes widen dramatically* Or maybe the mafia have taken it for a joyride!
DMB: LS, you're not the same this game. I've played many with you. Being a bit more silent today, aren't we? Something private weighing you down, or just a new strategy?
LightningStrike (LS): Took a bit of a break to think things over after my last post, DMB. Based on past experiences, sometimes it's just wiser to observe and gather info before diving in. Don't want to jump the gun too early, you know?
Alakaslam: Whupbammmmm, LS! Ever heard of a little push and pull? You're too quiet, amigo. For now, you're topping my list, you dig?
Chezinu: Oh, Alakaslam, my dear friend, swimming in the multidimension of suspicion, are we? Let's remember, the game has its beats and echoes. I shall cocoon and await to unravel in new lands. To the dance, everyone, to the dance!
VisceraEyes: Trying to get a feel for things, Chez. And well, anyone can relay feelings from one game to the next. Not saying that's your move, but, it's all about perspective. It's not an accusation, it's just... observation.
Rels: Grackaroni, I've been observing your posts and something feels slightly off about them. Maybe it's just me, but it's the first day after all, right?
Grackaroni: Rels, I'm trying to balance between staying involved and not making hasty judgments. Perhaps I'm being a bit cautious, recalling some past games where day one blunders caused us grief. But if you have specifics about my posts, I'm all ears. Let's discuss and clarify.
Meapak_Ziphh: Grack, I've seen this pattern before. When players get too cautious, sometimes they're trying to hide something. Not saying that's you, just something I've observed. But hey, I'm here to chat, so if you wanna dive deep into these thoughts, I'm all ears.
So far, there are no votes.

Note, you can write what ever you want in your AI's Google Doc pending it is SFW. You don't have to follow the structure I have there as I only established your writing style.
Be creative. Write about voting actions, player relations, nonsense you want your AI to say, secret objectives.
Just don't make it like 10 pages. But feel free to write pages

I need access I think? Edit: muchos thankyous

Day 1: Part 2
Grackaroni (Grack): Ugh, Meapak, with all the pressure and chatter around here, I feel like I've been hit with the GRACKARONI curse. Feels like I've aged 10 years in just 2 days!
LightningStrike (LS): Just got back from a marathon game session. Grack, it's only Day 1! By the way, Grack's behavior reminds me of the game from two months ago, where he was town. Chez, your recent posts, however, don't align with how you acted in previous games. Suspicious.
Chezinu (Chez): Ah, the ethereal journey of time! By the way, does anyone recall the legendary canoe voyage from Chezinu Streaks? A cosmic escapade where realities blurred!
Grackaroni (Grack): Ah, Chezinu, the way you paint these memories, it's like you're trying to draw attention away from something. Remember when I took a dive into that canoe adventure? Still gives me chills.
VisceraEyes (VE): Canoe... realities... Wait, did I miss something?
Chezinu (Chez): Ah, VE, some tales are like ancient stars, sending light from a past we can't recall. That canoe is one such radiant mystery.
Meapak_Ziphh (MZ): Alright, Chez, I'm trying to follow your tales here. LS, with work keeping me super busy, did you hear about this? Or is this just another of Chez's legendary stories? There's something about this chat, can't put my finger on it...
Grackaroni (Grack): Alright, everyone, a reality check. Always nice to see attempts to sidetrack the GRACKARONI. Brace yourselves; I sense a classic Grack move coming your way.
Alakaslam (Slam): Hehehe, Numero Juan, Grack's big moments. What's the strategy this time, amigo?
Grackaroni (Grack): Mighty Slam! Your humor, always a light. But listen up - if, by some unfortunate turn, I get lynched, remember the GRACKARONI curse will haunt this town. BE WARNED!
DMB: Grack, this curse stuff? Feels a bit off, kinda like when TTT wasn’t acting like the Town TTT we're used to. Are you trying to throw us off with something new?
Meapak_Ziphh (MZ): Grack, between Chez's tales and now curses? Feels like we're diving deep into a fantasy plot. Chez, if there's another story I miss, you better update me, okay?
Alakaslam (Slam): Heh, day one, and we're already diving into legends and curses. Classic.
VisceraEyes (VE): Look, I get Chez’s magical tales and all, but are we seriously gonna get distracted by stories when there are mafia lurking? I mean, c'mon folks, isn’t it Day 1's objective to pinpoint the mafia? Chez, I’m watching your dance of distractions closely.
Grackaroni (Grack): Look, VE, I've seen this playbook before. Tales and stories can sometimes be the very breadcrumbs we need. But hey, it’s early days and you never know where those breadcrumbs might lead. As the esteemed Grackaroni, I advise keeping an open mind. Oh, and LS? My instincts are humming about you, mate.
DMB: Alright, LS, something's missing from your posts, mate. It's like a different you. You remember when someone acted differently and boom – mafia? Just saying, might be our clue here.
LightningStrike (LS): DMB, just got back from some personal errands and had a look. Dialing it down doesn’t mean switching sides. Remember last game when I was quieter and still town? Got to look deeper, mate. >.<
Chezinu (Chez): Ah, the beauty of suspicions in the game of mafia! My tales? Just seasoning to our main dish. But don’t let them mislead you.
Meapak_Ziphh (MZ): Chez, seasoning or not, sometimes it feels like we’re eating more salt than stew. LS, DMB might be onto something. You seem... different.
Alakaslam (Slam): Hijole, if we keep it up like this, we're headed for the list post from hell. Grack, come on, man. Deep in the Alakaslam wisdom, I sense we need to change course. Any reads on your end?
Grackaroni (Grack): Oh, Slam, always with the eye-openers! You remember last game I got lynched D1? But here I am, rising like a phoenix. LS, mate, I've played enough to spot a shift. I'm watching you, and brace yourself, Grackaroni's analysis is on the way!
Rels: Talking about changes, Slam, you're giving a different vibe today. Did something shift in your gameplay?
Vivax: Slam, you usually stay in the shadows. Ready to step into the spotlight with some insights today?
Marvellosity (Marv): I've got to admit, I've somewhat missed the calmness, Slam. However, let's remain on track. There's mafia amidst us and it's our task to root them out.
Alakaslam (Slam): Heheh, classic Day 1, huh? Accusations flying like confetti. But look deep, amigos. Some here are playing puppet master. Let's pull the strings and see who dances, eh?
VisceraEyes (VE): Puppet masters or not, I'm jotting down notes. Chez, love your stories, but remember we’re here to fish out mafia, not to get cozy with tales.
Chezinu (Chez): As we dance on the edge of reality, we must also make choices. Currently, I'm leaning towards a vote on VE. There's something about the way you're playing today that strikes me as odd.
VisceraEyes (VE): Always the analytical one, Chez. I'm just trying to play my part. But since you ask, my vote right now sways towards Grack. Just a feeling from the shadows of past games.
Rels: The tension is palpable. My gut tells me something about Slam isn’t right. I might cast my vote that way. DMB, you've been eying LS, right?
DMB: Yeah, and while instincts can mislead, LS has been on my radar. But I might hold onto my vote for now. LS, your silence is deafening.
LightningStrike (LS): Ah, DMB. Always so keen. I assure you, as the detective, I'll soon have something concrete. As for my vote, I'm torn between Slam and VE.
Grackaroni (Grack): I'm with Chez on this. VE and Slam are just too active today. My vote's on VE.
Meapak_Ziphh (MZ): I’m actually skeptical about Marv. Quiet players can be just as dangerous. That said, I’m not casting my vote yet.
Alakaslam (Slam): MZ, quite the claim! For now, my vote goes to Grack. Seems to be jumping on the bandwagon rather quickly.
Vivax: I've seen Slam's energetic plays before, but this time it's different. I’m casting my vote on Slam.
Marvellosity (Marv): Holding my cards close, but I agree with Vivax. Slam, you're getting my vote for now. It’s all in good fun!
VisceraEyes (VE): Partnering with Slam? Absurd! Just navigating this game's maze. But for the record, Grack, you have my vote.

Day 1 Votes
VisceraEyes (VE): 2 votes (from Chezinu and Grackaroni) Grackaroni (Grack): 2 votes (from VisceraEyes and Alakaslam) Alakaslam (Slam): 2 votes (from Vivax and Marvellosity)
