the mastermind getting killed first kind of fucked with the balance. Town had way too many resources. Jailkeeper is one of the best roles regardless and this one as we can see is the best version of it. The mad hatter is a weak one with it being basically a shitty vig. but on top of that they get a cop. in what became a 9 person setup

Seriously though, amazing game to everyone. Was an absolute blast to play in. Great hosting and great flavor, thank you to both GreYMisT and DoYouHas for that.

I think you make a perfectly valid argument about how the roles should have been resolved. And that is likely a change that would be made if this setup was run again. Jailer was too powerful. However, we had established how the actions were resolved well ahead of it becoming relevant, both in the scumqt and via the mod-confirmed info hapa and trfel posted in the game thread.
We were not going to be inconsistent with the information we had already provided. It is not our fault that you did not remember or maybe understand the implications of the explanation.
Believe me when I say, again, that we regret that the game ended up hinging on a nitpicky piece of mechanics. That being said, town had one chance at winning this game and for this mechanical resolution to take place, and that was Trfel correctly blocking the person carrying scumKP out of 3 totally viable targets. That was not an easy task and shouldn't be cheapened.

My thought on leaving was that mafia was Vivax/Trfel.

What was the thought behind shooting Shockeyy? It's tough to ask mafia to play a perfect game, but that felt like that really hurt mafia going into D3. Losing a mislynch target and a potential JK target for Trfel hurts.

literally to endgame. I could not believe the coordination could be between town. So I agree with DYH amazingly good job by Hapa and Trfel! I should have ceded that way but I was more suspicious of that coordinated effort so early.

Definitely a good pick. The lack of CCs from our part also gave Trfel all the wiggle room he wanted. I couldn't have claimed to have jailed Hapa N1 though since he wasn't a townread.

I’ll post my thoughts later, thanks for playing everyone! It got rough at the end here for me a hit emotionally, but this was really a great game. Good play all around and a lot to learn from.
