I can see warning signs and its only day 1,only my 4th game. Frankly even bringing up anxiety issues like this feels like it will be a problem in the future. What about when I am actually mafia? IMHO, its all about just (as town) turning yourself into a read-generator, by which I mean you need to do enough that other people can make reads of you. Every game starts out with 0 information, which is why players like rayn love to stir shit up early. Gets people talking, becoming read generators. There's still a ton of time left in today. Plenty of time to leave the thread, go do something else. Go for a walk or something, seriously. Check in towards the end of the day, see how you feel, ok? | ||

When I started out (and a whole bunch later as well), I was always anxious when people called me mafia as well. I have some anxiety problems as well as Aspergers and it can definitely make an impact on your enjoyment of the game. What helps me is creating a distance between the role you're fulfilling in the thread and who you are. When people call you mafia, or the even better "mafia or bad (hi Rayn)", they're not saying anything about you as a person but they're trying to solve the game. I'm sure you know this intellectually, but it's something that I think is worth actually processing. Even people cursing at others is usually just outing their frustration rather than being directed at you specifically. Next to that, the Mafia community is actually full of awesome people. I've known VE for like a decade or something and he's so much fun to banter with. I've amused myself countless times with HF just saying 'hello' on voice a lot and annoying my wife. Rayn and Rels even were at my wedding. Speaking of my wife, I met her on TL Mafia (Rsoultin). It's a great community and everyone looks out for each other as soon as it's clear things get serious. Even if you don't end up playing more, which I'd understand entirely, I do hope you stick around as I think you're pretty cool. The mafia community is like a rowdy mosh pit. You can get an elbow to the face, but if you fall down everyone'll help to pick you up immediately. | ||

the meta argument is super bleh to me cause, again dont think ive played much with her. koshi care to give a bit of detail on calix being fake and the reads are impossible to come from town? (ill try to find it in your filter, but your filter is not a nice place to look for specific stuff) | ||
