You could do what you are dreading and actually read VE, or at the very least read the posts I've made about VE because solving the game is more useful than sitting on your hands. I don't understand why you think you need to get Koshi to do more in order to get a better read on him when he's played like this for five IRL days and there is no sign of him stopping any time soon
