RUHE BITTE The silence period begins now as we assign roles. Any questions from this point onward needs to be directed to either LightningStrike or myself. Those of you wanting Obs, please PM either one of us. In keeping with TL rules albeit a twist - post nothing EXCEPT for your favourite beer (regardless of country) as we wait to get started. (Of course you can always post popcorn per TL tradition.) | ||

Tag 1 I sat dejectedly at Der Pschorr near Munich's Viktualienmarkt sipping ein Hefe Weisse after a terrible flight inbound. I'd been told time and again, the Belgian beer lover I was, that I'd get hooked on German beer during my time in Munich. I told my friends and colleagues I'd keep an open mind, as I did with all cuisine, but apparently there's this spark to German beer that makes it a cut above the rest. I'd been warned against the too-touristy Hofbrauhaus and Augustiner as these places were always crowded all the time. I had Erdinger before arriving in Munich and whilst it was okay, I had heard there was better out there. Generally speaking I cannot stand wheat beers/lagers/light beers...then I had one in Germany. Well that changed things. Still, my favourites always had been darker beers, stouts and ales in the UK and US, although similar beers here in Germany were called dunkels or schwarzbier. I checked the weather to see whether the open air concert in Schwabing West would be viable. "Scheiss Regen heute," I muttered. Clearly the answer was no. And yes, that was another thing I was coming to hate about Munich. It was raining often, often as in all the time. It had rained here all last week and this week? You guessed it. Rain, all week. "Scheisse," I muttered. I figured by the time I booked it from Der Pschorr I could get back to the hotel before things really came pouring down. I flipped through to see the features at the cinema. Lo and behold: Warcraft. Deutsch, with English subtitles. "Sicher ist sicher," I sighed. I really didn't want to get sick prior to hitting the Alps. The Alps. I'd never been there, and I wanted to do some hiking near the base in the southern part of Bavaria despite the erratic weather. It would probably be my only chance for awhile. "Der Weg zur Hölle ist mit guten Vorsätzen gepflastert." Day 1 has begun! You have 48 hours to decide upon whom to lynch. This day shall end in at 22:00 GMT (+00:00) - good luck to all.
