I don't like the named town idea, as the goal of the 1 shot cop is to allow the town to have one terribad townie without consequences.

Mm. A solution could be to have all town being vanilla, with the ability to vote for a target N1; the vote would be made by PM, so secret. The alignement of that person would be revealed at the start of D2. So town would have a cop check without a confirmed townie being cop

The one problem I see with this is that if a red check comes off it makes the following day really boring. Perhaps turn it into a one-off 24hour day when that happens.

adds element of doubt to greenchecks, redchecks still 100%

I'd rather see millers added than a gf since I'd consider autolynches ruining a day to be a bigger problem than having a confirmed town that you can always shoot the next night anyway.

Ok maybe that goes a bit too far.

The idea is to have a game that doesn't rely on blue. The problem is that apparently 10v3 all vanilla is unbalanced for mafia. Hell, mafiascum says 11v2 might be unbalanced for mafia ...

If we start adding gf and Miller, it kinda defeit the purpose of this game, which is to have 0 setup speculation. Koshi thinks 10v3 with 1 shot cop is unbalanced for town, and that seems true.

10v3 might be unbalanced for mafia in mafiascum, but town in the website are super strong. Lots of people are almosr unlynchable as town. It's true that maybe here, 10v3 all vanilla might be more or less balanced, especially compared to 10v3 1 shot cop.

I understand 100% information, being green check, red check, confirmed cop, etc. is not very fun. So we will go back to 10v3 all vanilla and see if people are interested for that. That was the original idea and I think it's balanced on this website. I'll update the op when I'm not on my phone.

yea..that other setup just turns into cop vs mafia member faking cop. whoever town sides with pretty much wins the game off that unless cop gets NK'd early, and then it just turns to vanilla game anyway.

You can always add an Innocent Child that gets revealed on D2. But having 2 confirmed townies to start D2 with was a bit too much imo.

True, will remove the inactivity bit. Spamming the game with the goal of being unplayable is the targeted problem here.

Actually it's already in the rules p: and I don't think it warrants being in the "specific rules" post.
