I don't think I agree that this is very natural. If I would notice that I change my mind in a post this short I would just say my final conclusion and the reason for it. It is absolutely possible that damdred did this exactly because he expected people to townread him for it.

I understand but I don't agree. I will take back the wishy washy stuff regarding his conclusion. You are right on that one. But I see no reason why damdred would not "close the doors" like this if geript is town. Not to mention that he can easily change this read again later on.

possibly. the post is definitely better for coming to a firm conclusion rather than just a waffle though, it's the decisiveness at the end of the about-turn that i thought made it quite townie.

he's clear and picks on things that you can evaluate yourself, he'll push on inconsistencies that don't make that player mafia. it would be a quite remarkable push as mafia, one that i'd love to replicate myself as scum sometime, but i'm not sure it's even possible to do

oh i see. no, the point is that mafiarayn's pushes are on the surface pretty reasonable. i don't think this push was ever that reasonable, it just seemed he believed very strongly in it.

as an aside, i find it quite funny that you always ask me to "trust" your reads.
but here you're trying to convince me that one of the best historic reads that TL Mafia has ever seen is bound to be wrong.
