Voting Notes and Reminders: EoD is 22:00 GMT (+00:00) with nothing counting after xx:59:59. A couple of things regarding voting - this game WILL be utilising Xatalos' script tracker. The separate voting thread is necessary because of the post-restriction but irregardless, we will use the tracker to help us count votes. Xatalos has a page for each game where all votes are kept in the order they were made in the voting thread. That page is here, but is also linked in the important posts spoiler in the OP. You may place your votes in here but only votes in the actual voting thread (here) will count. This part does not deviate from most other games with voting threads. That way if for some reason you have exceeded the post limit and especially if you are already on a warning for that, if for some reason you need to vote or change a vote you can still do so without incurring further penalty. Votes in the voting thread will not count against your limit. But because we are also using the script please absolutely make sure your vote is in the correct format otherwise the tracker will not pick it up. That said, we always manual doublecheck things, we always want to get things right here, but as nearly every host is testing Xatalos' script (more on that here) for widespread use, we - and Xatalos - would appreciate your cooperation with this. If any of you notice any problems with the webpage tracker or think there's a bug (outside of our manual counting), please post in the votecount tool thread or PM any of the moderators. | ||

The goal of the app is to make the lives of hosts easier by reducing the need for manual labor (votecounting). However, there are currently some restrictions that need to be followed so that it works properly: 1) Votes need to be made in the proper format. That means something like ##Vote name or ##Vote: name, not #!Vote name. In addition, the vote targets need to be spelled correctly. Currently all names are changed to lower case (so "Half the Sky" -> "half the sky"), so that much variation is allowed, but if the characters are different, then two different vote targets are created and the final votecount becomes harder to use (the host needs to combine the separate targets into one). 2) Every cycle change (Day/Night) post needs to be posted by a host (the names written in the Host(s) field). In addition, the cycle change post needs to have the text "Day X" or "Night X" as the first text on the first line of the post. Styling ([b]) or empty spaces (" ") before the text are allowed, but no line breaks or other text. What's more, the cycle change post can't include the word "vote" anywhere in it. That's because votecount posts are ignored that way currently. TLDR - I think I erred with my own Day 1 start post. But the target name is not case sensitive. Hold on... | ||

 Already encountered one bug now.Not completely sure what this problem is about, but I'll look into it a bit later. It should be in time for the game start if I looked at the timing correctly. | ||

Yeah nice to test in a different environment (voting thread) since some bugs are easier to notice For example, the earlier bug happened because the scanner couldn't find the "page number bar" (the list of pages at the bottom) since if there's only one page in a thread, the page numbers don't even show up. Now it defaults to "page 1" if it can't find the page numbers. This current problem was difficult to notice before because the refresh interval was 15 minutes and people always posted something in between votes and scans. Now that the refresh timer is 5 minutes and there are only the votes in the voting thread, this starts to happen quite a lot. I hope this should be fixed before the game starts, though. | ||
