Unfortunately TL Mafia and Fourm Mafia in general is quite different then Town of Salem and SC2 Mafia where it's not reliant on role claiming so early and also much faster Days and Nights.

SC2 mafia is utterly nuts sometimes. It so fast and everyone is so quick to point fingers. One game of that I played just ripped itself apart in about three minutes with the entire mafia team surviving. Its a fun play from time to time though if you can get a game of it going (not as many people playing nowadays as I remember from when I played a couple years ago).

Everyone basically moved to Town of Salem from SC2 Mafia as far as I know. It just a better version of the game.

And thanks, its nothing personal of course. There's only so much up so far and I've not played other games with you (or anyone, but anyway), so I can't meta-read very well, so I'm just going with what I've seen here and how I feel it fits together.
Of course now if I get killed first night then I'm pretty sure I've been on the right lines with at least one of my suspicions about scum. It'll be very interesting to see if I actually survive it. Big if though; having thought about it I'm probably putting something of a target on my head for the scum by posting reads like that if I'm on the right lines anywhere.
Anyway, I'm not sure how to take this whole "drive by" posting thing with The Shining to be honest that you're discussing. I liked his first post which seemed townie so my first instinct was to lean him towards town (as I mentioned earlier) but the longer it goes as his ONLY post makes me start to doubt my first impressions there. Sort of like a "here's a obligatory post that contains some stuff that will make you think I'm town, now please forget about me". I don't know, kinda comes down to the "convince me" thing again. I'd need to see something a lot more scummy to call as a lynch target though.

I'm finding it awkward because I dislike "inactivity" in and of itself as a scum lynch read. I mean if its all there is I guess its a possibility but it makes me very uncomfortable to condemn based on that alone. Although the whole "posting something useful then disappearing" makes it a bit more convincing than simple inactivity or minimal posting like jarjar or gumdrop.

Not only does Shining owe a followup but so does Silverarte, JarJar and Gumdrop, to various posters' questions.
I do understand the differentiating point you made with Shining though. What would further bother me about him and the rest mentioned though is if there was a continued pattern of not answering questions, even after more activity.

Let me start by apologizing. I got home from work shortly after my last post and knocked out. I'm now smack dab in my weekend today and tomorrow, though, so I should be able to be more active before Wednesday. Also, I am he, since pronouns seem be coming up this game a lot. XD

At first, I was inclined to believe she was just scumhunting when questioning HTS. But after reading and catching up, I'm leaning towards Celestial as town. Celestial basically said what I would've. It looked like she was looking for others who were different from the rest, and under the guise of town, would just look like scumhunting. The Mafia obviously knows who all is town. By jumping around to multiple people, they increase the chances of blue tells. I also don't know Rsoultin's meta on here at all to know if her town play is more aggressive here than other times I've played with her.
However, as the thread progressed, HTS seemed to lean increasingly more scummy, which makes me believe Rsoultin is leaning town, after all. WarWaffle questioned a few things in HTS's opening posts and I've yet to see any sort of response to him, although HTS has posted a few times since. And about me a lot. The more you tunnel on me, the more you hope to deflect from the points WW made about you, is that it?

I'm home now and I think I have my first really solid scum read. But starting off with HTS:
I thought she had posted significantly more than she had. But what she has posted I've largely approved of. Her posts, to me, seem reasonable but she's not shying away from giving scum reads. She has been helpful without being rude, while being concise. I think she's town, and definitely not a day 1 lynch candidate.

just going to address this part very quickly. I agreed with HTS logic, in that it did seem like you were disproving of scum hunting (the whole "let something slip" as if that would be a bad thing). I proposed you as a vig target because you made a suspicious post, and then disappeared. To me, if you stayed inactive you would be a decent vig shot. I'm not necessarily going to stand by this opinion now, though I think if you don't start helping town you'll remain on my scum radar.
As for the lynch vote, I like having my votes in and visible. You're right there's plenty of time to gather more information, and I'm freely able to change votes. Keeping my votes in there lets you know where I stand and what I'm thinking. I think voting is generally a good thing. Players submitting votes introduces extra information. Even though it's minor, I think being able to look through and see how people voted and changed votes during the course of the day is a good thing. I wish we could get more people voting.

Actually your evidence here to me suggests that's a very strong call. The "everyone is town so be cool, hey" narrative really works. Much stronger than any of my current scum reads. I'm inclined to agree.

I wont be home for about 3 hours after this post but Exo I didn't say everyone is town -.- As I said I needed more posts on some people to figure out their alignment and I had a null read on Shining on the stuff earlier but now it changed to town after his last post on this page. I will take a look on more stuff after this post when I get home and give my thoughts on them and try to find scum. See you guys until I get home!

@LS: I'm sure everyone would appreciate your comments. ExO's post there I find to be pretty damning to be honest.
I'll hold off on actually voting until tomorrow I think. Let some more people get their words in for me to try and get a better feel of it.
