I haven't made a full case on SL, but his reason for switching to bats is absolutely awful. I will make a big post on SL being scum tonight, going through his filter it is painfully bad. | ||

Explain to me your timeline: From where I am standing it looks like when you posted on page 59 you read everything concerning Lazermonkey/batsnacks. From where I am standing it looks when you discussed reads on page 62 you read everything concerning Chyz/Dr.H. From where I am standing you commented on page 69 about a post made on page 68. This goes on straight to page 72. But on page 72 you say you are "bad at the game and not up to date" to deflect suspicion. So you were actively following from page 57 - 72. And you read everything concerning Lazermonkey/batsnacks/Chyz/Dr.H before page 57. You read posts from Palmar about geript being scum if marv is town. You read all posts from geript. 1) he scum reads geript but there is nothing original in it, but then before the flip even happens he starts talking about who this flip is going to clear, like he knows geript will flip scum and immediately wants to get credit for it. why is so quick to clear other people and try to clear himself rather than find scum. 2) despite having, in his mind, a strong read on geript he decides to just switch onto bats because "my town reads did it" his town reads are pretty bad, more on that later. why would you trust other peoples reads over your own. This is an awful reason. 3) he wants to give dam a really easy town read , first thing he does is town read dam immediately for making a joke at the start. That is a good reason to switch off your scum read in that close a situation? 4) This is a common mafia trick but he overstated his impact "I had a strong first 24 hours". Sorry SL but no you didn't. I will add quotes etc later. | ||

but you are very likely to be town. kelsier: actually i find 4) comes from town more usually than mafia. Palmar does it as town all the time for instance :p | ||

I didn't read everything, just the posts that caught my eye and I consequently commented on, so I don't really have a red line you can follow when you see what I talk about, it's quite scattered. Now you can make your own assumptions regarding whether I would tend to be more scattered in my reading process as scum or as town (and you seem to think it's the former), but for this I can only say that a) I don't always play up to my super tryhard standard, especially when I come back hungover from NYE and the thread volume exploded, but I tried by focusing on the parts I found interesting. A bit from this, a bit from that, I can't process a whole game at once in one moment. b) I suggest I'll just do my thing and it's nice to know you don't close the shutters to the option that I'm town. It's really easy to get the gut-feeling that somebody is scum just cause he doesn't play to the standard you're used to and I can understand that. I think I was drunk when I posted the bad at the game stuff, depends on you how much weight you give to it when I say I'm bad at the game cause maybe geript IS scum and I'm just too bad to see it, which was the thought at the time. Like, I kept going back to the arguments and I didn't get the aha-feeling that seemed so prevalent in thread sentiment. Artanis tried to show me first in a not-so-concrete way, then both Artanis and DrH kept telling me their reasons, but I remained with a meh. | ||
