There are enough side conversations that anything good gets lost in the noise, even if you're hunting for random little things. Hopefully later on the good stuff will come out in filters, but even the legitimate conversations are broken up by all the unimportant stuff right now, or are just conversations that don't sway me in any direction. I'm serious about yamato though.

The important thing about the button to me is that it takes a night action to interact with it; this implies to me that many players have night actions so there is a tradeoff for button interaction. If players don't have night actions, I think they should usually guard the button since it grants more information.
Regardless of whether we think it's better to push or deactivate the button, I think it might be good to have a rotation of two or more people per night who promise to guard the button and report the following day what they saw. May give reads if their stories don't match up, but also prevents pressing/disabling the button. I don't have a firm idea of how this would work yet, but if it sounds like something to try then talk with me about it and we can work on the button defense draft.

As for really non-trolly reads. I think that iamrobik might be scum. In video mafia when hes town hes really excited and throws out town reads left and right and he started to do that but then he had his mafia tell where he just quits... I think if he rolled mafia it would be a good cop out for not posting a lot as mafia to have this fight with Dand(although robert does just have a temper we will see). I also wasn't terribly swayed by his case on iamp.
Oats is my strongest town read hes got several posts where hes asking questions and trying to get people focused on the game instead of just being silly (I mean fun is good but lets have fun and win as town too!)

@ WoS The line about shooting a gun is a troll from play Epic mafia. I've only played games where weapons are given out and nothing more. So when someone says they're handing shit out I think "gun". Make sense?
And the reason I think it would be hard for you to do this as mafia is because you are basically opening yourself up as mafia to a bit of explaining if one of these players got an item that did mean things. So if you really can give out items its probably nice items because then you wouldn't care people know its you. If you can't give out items at all then you're probably just doing this to get reactions from people or i assume garner reads both of these things are typically more townie although I think it probably hunts for town more than scum but I'm still getting used to the forum style of things.
I'm not a smurf I play a lot of video mafia on dailymafia with a handful of people on here. I am just starting to get into forum mafia and frankly its a lot of fun this is my first real "fun" themed game so getting a feel for the land.
As for what kind of item I'd like I think a gun is a powerful item and I would trust myself and no one else with a gun currently so thats nice also something that would let me know more about the flavor i.e. the button and the radiation chaos business just to understand better. What items do you have or is that a mystery?
