Like, he essentially says:- the posts people hate are terrible
- i was making shit up. I was compensating for normally knowing exactly what's going on (how does one do this as town) and was overcompensating with garbage
- I don't know what's going on but wish I did
- What I've done deserves a lynch
- None of my reads are good
- I'M GOING TO START PLAYING DIFFERENTLY NOW, SINCE I'VE RECOGNIZED WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON (where. When did he recognize this? What does he think is going on? He didn't speak to that AT ALL and still hasn't. How does he know what's going on?)
- I'm starting over, scrapping basically all my reads (which ones. Why keep the others?)
- I'll PROBABLY go reread MOST of the game again
I see a promise of townie actions, both at the time of the post (i've scrapped some reads and understand the game) and in the future. I don't see any explanation why some reads were bad, how he understands the game, etc. I don't see any followup.
I see that he RECOGNIZES the things he did were scummy. Saying so doesn't make him town or scum. It makes him a player who has done scummy stuff and sees that. The specific things he's apologizing for are also, imo, not...things you can just go "oopsies" on and be townie.

That's cool man and I respect your opinion but I'm not going to not admit my faults for fear of being read as scum. I'm gonna play my game and if you read me as town for doing so that's good if not then that's too bad if we're both town

In case one is wondering.
Thuu is a reference to "The Jungle Book" (The real one, not the Disney cartoon) in which Mowgli is an adult, and comes across an ancient cobra guarding a treasure trove.
After some banter, Mowgli says the cobra is nothing to be feared, to his companion's shock and dismay (can't remember who goes in with him) and walks in fearlessly, laughing at the bites of the cobra that he then named "Thuu", Hindi for "dry"- as he no longer contained any poison.

You don't "apologize" for making shit up, or "admit that you were wrong" to make shit up. You don't make everything up and go "oops, it was wrong to do that." You KNOW it's wrong to MANUFACTURE FALSE STUFF. I don't think saying "i screwed up by making shit up" is a ... townie apology. Making shit up is a BAD THING. It's a SCUMMY THING. Manufacturing reads is straight up scummy, and saying you did it doesn't make it townie. I am grilling you because I think when you say him apologizing = town, you gloss over the specifics of what he said he's done and will do.
