lol my Mafia XII victory speech (https://tl.net/forum/mafia/96429-gg-mafia-xii-the-summer-season?page=71#1416) was like winning an Oscar for me...

"mostly because of pyrr being either the most brilliant mafia ever or the biggest wad of shit i've ever seen" from redtooth triggered the 3rd best laugh of my life. The 2nd best laugh line was something like "You have the most amazing work ethic I've ever seen." And the absolute best was "Christopher Lambert" in the film Chasing Ghosts: Beyond the Arcade... that one almost suffocated me.

all I really did was imagine the whole time I was mafia that I was townie, think as if I was townie, do what I would do if I was townie... except bias myself as subtly as I could toward the interests of my co-conspirators. And it helped that I was the most awful townie lol.

I had such shallow sleep, my mind was always racing during that time and would be dreaming about what I should do, just like if I play BW for a week when I try to relax to sleep my mind will start replaying kb+mouse memories or if I play keyboard for a week my mind will start regurgitating music micro.

Mafia ultimately creeped me out and noped me out because I saw all the ways people could use what I was doing IRL and it supercharged my discomfort.

IRL I'm a townie with way better analysis and way less charisma than here.

I miss Plexa... He hosted the first game where I was mafia.

It's nice that he ended the game. I'm still playing a Caller game that had been going on for over a decade...

Well, it should be really nice but unfortunately marital tensions I thought were resolved are not, so I don’t know. Trying to find out TODAY. Got time off work for this. My boss doesn’t know why but was willing to extend paternity leave so. Hmmmm.

Knowing the dramatic swings of Slam life pendulum, we may be super cozy by the 15th and in bad shape again on the 21st and then spend a super happy Christmas...

It’s wonderful, he loves the tree! He changes the timing of everything to be sure, can’t stay out late with family and driving to see my wife’s is more complicated, but we are both so excited to share Christmas with him.
