Well, the townies have to "maintain" a space station (or something like that, depending on the map) by just running around a small 2D map and doing tasks (which are trivial, such as, run to this place and press a button for 5 seconds). Not executing tasks can lead to problems for town or to straight up losing. There is no communication during this period. The mafia can sabotage things to force town to execute certain tasks, generally with the objective of isolating townies. Mafia can kill someone at any point but their kill skill has a long cooldown so they can't just rampage. When someone is murdered they leave a body, when this body is found a meeting is called, the mechanics are put on hold, and we turn discord on (you can use ingame chat but discord seems a lot more fun). Then we have a couple of minutes to talk things out, we vote, and either flip someone or not. Town wins by vote flipping all mafia. Turn off discord and repeat until mafia is dead or mafia outnumber town. You can to some degree play as a ghost, that is, after you flip. So like, the different maps are like different setups in mafia, the tasks and sabotage are some mechanics, and then we have a short discussion period like we have in mafia. The discussion can be about the mechanics ("why were you hanging around this place instead of executing this task?") or about other things ("you don't talk so much when you're mafia so I think you're mafia") or anything really. | ||
