Well, explain to me how it goes after we pick and get the rest of the abilities. We then claim our full abilities?

It's easy enough for scum to fake claim, and then they know everything, while we sit here wondering if someone lied about additional abilities.

Then if some secondary abilities cause huge problems, we don't know who to hold accountable.

All in all, it feels like scum gets too much info while we don't benefit as much.

Yes, there can be scum in the top 10, but towards the end it essentially ensures everyone can get a role instead of being stuck with vanilla shit with no powers.

There may be casualties along the way, but it allows us to pinpoint and get a sense of where to look (if #12 didn't get his, we narrow from 29 down to 11).

It doesn't matter because some roles are better than others anyways and getting townies the most amount of roles will help the town anyways because every role will be useful in some way.

If Mafia wanted to fuck with you and take an assigned role, then each mafia can only hit 1 person at max with assigned roles.

If everyone just guesses and shit, theres a good chance multiple casualties come if mafia takes a role from someone. Also, you factor in townies screwing over lower pick townies.

Yes, scum gets full intel, but they don't have full intel on what everyone can do as part of their roles, which is advantageous for town because everyone has abilities and they outnumber scum.

I don't mind the mass claim idea. One of the concerns usually with this is that mafia will fake claim some of the stronger town roles (like dt) and then pick a mafia role But considering there aren't as many purely strong town roles and almost every role has some viability this seems like a decent idea and it just creates a large trail where dedicated townies can look for inconsistencies with what people are claiming. Forcing mafia to make tons of possible fake claims will probably lead to mistakes.

The only problem is this has been proposed pretty late. Not sure you will get people to agree to it this late in the day. But sign me up.

Also, I am sick as balls right now and have been since the game started. I will continue to post very little until I have recovered some.

In games where everyone has roles mass-claiming is always the best idea for the town regardless of what the roles do.

Why? I thought people just have to claim what they took. Obviously telling everyone what to pick won't work. I think this mass claim is a very good idea. The high ranked players have to start it though and time is running out.

Mass claiming requires everybody to cooperate, and has no way of determining whether mafia didn't cooperate with something or stubborn/fun-seeking townies didn't. Look at crap like people always wanting inventor, or wanting a specific champ this time around (there have been a couple "i'm picking my favorite champs"). Also, it's close to deadline and you won't get everyone to post/agree.

I think it's a fine plan but not in this situation. It's great in theory but in practice it is so horribly likely to work like the optimal case, and the main reason for that is that people are people and not that mafia will twirl their moustaches and screw up the plan.

As long as everyone claims townies can't fuck other townies over because who is first to pick a champion gets it and everyone after that would be an idiot to do so too. Idiots get VT I see no problem with that.

Okay here is my DANGER DANGER list of roles who I want public. Should mafia get their hands on them and use them to their own devices it is basically gg. Viktor, Heimerdinger, Tryndamere, Janna, Kha'Zix

Now there is no way we would be able to tell who is who unless we have a mass claim. It's already late enough that we don't have a picking planed up. I would advice everyone to try to go for either the roles I listed or the roles BC listed.

Keep in mind, mafia did ban out all of the DT roles, so they probably have no problems with a mass claim. However, it is much better to have control and an idea of what these power roles are doing, rather than let mafia use them on their own.
