day 1 we suffered from all being afk mtherfkers, and by the time I came back into the thread 20 mins before the deadline, I felt my hands were tied. while I never meant to leave my vote on pandain, to bus fuba would've put everything asinine had stuck his neck out for in vain, so staying afk seemed the least incriminating of options. after oats was shot it was almost impossible not to immediately throw in the towel.

Meh, it's ok. I just got back from a double shift.. so I've been gone for the past 17 and a half hours. and I'd still be so far behind in this game let alone I haven't even looked at my other game tonight. Thus I ended up playing like a strait lurker because I just had so much trouble keeping up to date with the games. I really wanted to be more active in this game as it was my first normal game I've played in... But I honestly completely forgot about signing up for it. Then my Newbie game started and sometime during D1 of that I get a role pm for this game. I almost just tried to pm Hiro to see if I could sub out.. I probably should of to be honest.

Sorry town, I did try to be around.
If anyone has some tips for me I'd appreciate it as I'm trying to learn and improve my game.
I felt like I made some good points and decisions early on for D1/N1 but then I could only really touch base D2 because I was trying to catch up on my other game. Lucky for me our town was really tight and the Asinine slip up made it really easy.

your play was decent stutters. The only thing that gave me reservations about you was that you had a hard time committing to hzflank or mkfuba Day 1. In all honesty, who did you think was scummier? If I had to decide for myself, it'd be fuba but you didnt really show that because you kind of just ended up sheeping town sentiment to finalize your vote. Aside from that, I think it comes down to having more time to play for you.

I don't know I had two scum reads on Asinine and Bereft but neither of their scum teams made sense, especially Asinine who was the most suspicious.

The worst part is I'm still not sure how to feel about if I was put in the same situation. Asinine not giving his ID was the final straw because it served no purpose as town, but before then it was far from clear. It turns out I was right about the other scum-read, but I was always re-reading other filters and I wasn't actually ever sure.

Problem was I thought both of you were scum but I was so focused on finding a scum-team connection because you guys were forced into defending each other, or so I thought. I could never just give up control like you guys did.

in a normal game, this mentality makes sense, but with the White-Flag mechanic, they had no other choice. Marv mentions it in his endgame writeup. It was like 8v1 in terms of getting pressure away from Asinine. No one made sense for Asinine's teammate. However, Asinine made no sense as town so...keep it simple.

I read the analysis I just think there's another way to play it out as mafia through defending and that's what I would have expected rather then silence and bandwagonning

I don't think that it was the right choice either, but it's not unexpected considering that asinine failed so miserably with the hard defense of fuba.

It's a fairly natural reaction to do the exact opposite when you fail in doing things one way.

game was pretty much lost -- it seemed like the best option was to hope you guys over thought and mind fucked yourselves.

lol, my day one play was reasonably scummy. I didn't really get motivated until after the lynch.

I think the thing to take away from it is just that sometimes you have to make a tactical decision. If mkfuba was active and/or we had a more active town then voting for me would not of been a terrible decision. As it was, the best thing for the town was not to lynch me.
