Mainly because i like attention, so it makes sense to use it on HP.
I'd rather know my house, and be able to talk about it in qt. Specially since i had matt in a priv qt. we would be able to talk about our house and the reactions of others judging our house

So i had convo with mod about my power.
Turns out dead are not suppose to count, but palmar was counted in my first house check.

Dead are not counted in house check, but if people "infiltrate" they would show up under the check (this is my assumption)
I would assume this would be a power to eves drop on a QT

so my check showed 1 mafia 2 town
