Also, it gave (me at least) us time to think of what we were going to say and develop well thought out but made up town reasons. I remember immediately asking for the conch because I knew I could formulate a townie thought process stemming from marv accusing me because he didn't hear me talking at the beginning of the game. Marv then called me bad town which was perfect for me to hide behind my non-town thought process. Also funny, it was mocsta who brought up the conch, and then found out to be scum, and we stopped using it but didn't bring it up. If we had, I think I could have been able to work up more well-sculpted thoughts if actual townies weren't talking. It mattered alot because it ended up coming down to me and marv for holyflare to decide between, and had a real lack of presence later in the game because I couldn't compete with an actual townie marv actively talking. Blue hunting is by far the most important skill for mafia in these single power setups where claims are too difficult to counter claim. It is impossible to lynch blues unless you CC, and even then you might die first and its useless. Any threatened scum needs to claim a blue role immediately, because instant majority is awfully unforgiving, and town will just let wagons stay if you are CC'd by the real role that wasn't threatened to be lynched. Claiming med/cop is fairly suicidal because your actions need to be make sense, but you also have to make them up on the fly when you do fakeclaim because voice goes that fast. So it's hard for fakeclaims to be an option, which leaves RB and hit. RB is pretty awkward to use, and doesn't stop the confirmation bonus blues get by being unique. So your hit needs to hit blues and you cannot waste it on people who will lynch you. You need to rely on being good enough to convince them otherwise, and stop the blues from getting out of hand. I probably should have talked more with IAmP about the echelon shot, but I was already being too quiet at night and that would make me red or blue, and I was not quick enough to bullshit claim the latter. Being optimal at mafia voice is extremely intensive, and it might be better to be random and hope people see you as a bad townie. I'll try to come to a conclusion in that regard as we play more. Funny how much goes on into little subtleties like that. Good game! | ||

Last night was awesome! <3 lol for people thinking i am scum because i wanted BH to claim haha. IMO as scum you are supposed to talk a lot. It doesn't really matter with who you talk as things are hard to remember 5min after they have happened (especially if there are many people in the game). Some people have good points as town but don't say pretty much anything as scum. You can even bus hard at certain points if you feel like you can't get your buddy lynched, it looks really good on you later on, in case one of you/the bussee get lynched. Just talk a lot and wreck all clear thoughts town are developing, that's kinda the main point. Although OMGUSes are pretty common in Voice Mafia and people just YOLO-shoot/lynch people usually the more vocal players live longer.  | ||
