Night 2

After Hapahauli’s assassination, there was pandemonium at the UN headquarters. The 2nd amendment of the United States Constitution had been added to the constitutions of many of the UN nations, and as such, everyone carried guns and plenty of ammunition around with them. It was simple at first: everyone carried around simple pistols. However, as the tension inside the discussion room increased, the quantity and firepower of the weapons increased along with it. Pretty soon, shotguns and .50 cal sniper rifles were the norm, and the UN quickly started to look like an adult version of an air soft simulation map.  

On top of that, reports had surfaced that a massive army was being formed just outside of Alexandria in Egypt. This report was not received well by the UN, as they had no way to coordinate a reaction in time to save Alexandria. By the reports received, the army was over 2 million strong. It would take the UN almost a month to organize an army to stop a force that strong. Who knows how much ground the unknown force would be able to conquer before then?  

So as the UN decided what course of action to take, VayneAuthority, newly crowned president of the UN, asked his fellow delegates. “My friends, there has never been a greater threat to democracy than now. Not only did this army take us by surprise, it is massive and we have absolutely no intelligence on them. This is like nothing we have ever seen before. There has to be someone on the inside who knows that we have no clue who these people are. They continue to kill off our leaders and leave us in a state of panic. We cannot let these devil-spawn get the better of us. Does anyone have any ideas?”  

“Why don’t we try to negotiate with them?” said a voice in the back of the crowd.

  The entire crowd turned to look at none other than Blazinghand. Blazinghand was sitting in his chair with a sandwich in one hand and a can of Coca-Cola in the other.

  “What do you mean?” VayneAuthority asked with a puzzled expression on his face.  

“Why can’t we ask them, you know, like, ‘What’s up?’ or ‘Why are you trying to kill us’? Why can’t we give peace a chance? It would be a lot easier than trying to fight them. Who knows how many innocents will die?”  

The crowd continued to stare at him in silence. Then one person said, “Negotiate? We are the freaking UN! We don’t back down to no one! He’s probably one of the enemy, trying to get us to go easy on them! Let’s kill him and send his body to the army as a warning!”  

The crowd all began to shout and cheer as Blazinghand was tied up to a wall. They then proceeded to use him as target practice. It wasn’t very pretty.  

His last words, screamed out, were “You idiots didn’t even let me finish my dinner!”

  Blazinghand, as Belgium(VT), was turned into swiss cheese by his fellow UN delegates!

  It is now Night 2. You have 23 hours and 10 minutes (until 01:00 GMT (+00:00)) to submit your actions and a mayor’s list of 3 players he would like to pass the mayorship on to. The night will start 1 hour after.

Ok, let's get this lastminute vote on scum going:

First off BH is making sense now, he is playing constructively and therefore I want to keep him at least another day to see if he continues. I disagree with the counterwagon on GM/WoS. There simply is town-motivation for the scummy behavior he has shown earlier, while in his smurf persona. Since he has revealed himself he has been a pretty straightforward person, also willing to potentially trade 1 for 1 for BH is pretty townie, even though I don't want to discuss how retarded VA's postings have been)

Said already that GK is just policylynch now, in regards to contribution and helpfulness he is about the same as Sylencia, and Syl has been around for the entire game. Let's review what Syl has done for us:
D1 syl was just sheeping around, first me on Vayne then after the claim hapa on jampi. That in itself is not scummy, but looking into context of his d1 filter there is no attempt at scumhunting....
N1/D2 he just goes after the lurkers, that is like the easiest thing one can do as scum to appear contributing. N1 it is GK/Stutters at first, as soon as stutters makes a half-ass case on me he just jumps aboard, apparently oblivious to his earlier suspicions. Further into D2 his "case" on axle feels incredibly forced if you look at the arguments and read axle's filter yourself, he also caves in and goes away as soon as he sees that it does not stick.

He is actively lurking, doing nothing constructive trying to shovel dirt on one of my highest townreads and he commits to nothing.

In case I am not able to post around deadline, any votes after the 23 hour mark will not count and the game will be put on halt until the night post is up. The last hour of each night will be the "resolution period". This is a one hour period where posting is allowed, but no actions may be submitted. The night action deadline is 09:00 HKT (+08:00). Now as for the shot, obviously the fight for my life is going to look bad, so I leave it up to the town (or technically VA). You guys can either listen to what BH said and not take the shot or you can get rid of me now and remove all doubt. Either way it's pretty clear we're facing lurk city here. I honestly wonder what VA will end up deciding in the end because if he shoots me, I flip green and he looks awful. If he's town that's a shit position to be in, and if he's scum I can't honestly say if he'll take the shot and risk the vengeance of the town.

I also think it's absolutely batshit retarded that nobody was around at deadline. I was even trying to fucking phonepost so I could keep tabs on what was happening. On one hand I feel like i'ts a shit ton of lurker scum we've got to deal with, but then oftentimes in a situation like this when town starts to lose this handily it's because scum activity >>>town activity.

Either way town needs to stop fucking lurking if they want to win this game.

About GravityMan - I am also missing what is obvious about him that makes him scum according to BH, but the only point i"ll take from it is that he is the only one who disrupted Hapa's mayoral campaign with a sort of smear campaign against him. You can make reasons for why he did it if he's scum (potentially take power, and make hapa a suspect), but since that failed, would scum have chosen Hapa as the target of the NK over Vayne to clearly show that? Food for thought, seeing as that was the only real 'major' event that happened regarding mayoral campaigns.

First of all, the entire point of mentioning a good vigishot for Vayne is we should be treating this cycle like a doublelynch, as Hapa originally suggested. Even if Vayne opts to wait until the night to shoot, by discussing this now we have that much more information to go on in later cycles. For that reason, everyone should be doing this.

So you can't be bothered to review the latest posting of your top scumread, and you fall back on proposing a lurker scumteam if your top read convinces you he's town??? Explain to me how that isn't scum-motivated behavior?

Further, I provided a read on Grav in the post you're referencing, so it's clear you aren't reading the thread very closely. This is the kind of disinterest I'd expect from scum. I still believe you'd be a good vigi shot.

The fact I can actually rely on something which I believed to have been true from the night before shows the actual lack of contribution that you had brought to the table to this point. If I say you're scummy during N1, and you do nothing to change that view in D2, you're saying it's scum oriented for me to say I still think you're scum? Also yes, turns out I ended up thinking you did an analysis on GK which is yourself (it made perfect sense at the time somehow -_-).

BH has been doing a lot of talking without a lot of pushing, but I'm pretty sure that Axle is a better option over BH. After a slow first half of Day 1, I think if BH was scum he'd easily adapt into a less active role in the game. He brings up points I don't think anyone else would be doing otherwise (possible VA fakeclaim etc.) and just by doing that I feel it's enough to justify keeping him around for longer. Without BH this town will be a dead town, with little to no deviation in thoughts.

GK I'm still willing to put my vote on him, idk how slow a start can be, but even his vote on BH didn't have any substance to it.

This is terrible honestly.
Axle seems like the towniest town that ever towned, and this case misrepresents him entirely. I'm not sure why people are letting this go.

I mean I'm not a fan of Axle right now because he's tunneled me for about half the game but at least he's doing it in a reasonable way' I don't see scum pushing a read like he has with the analysis that he's done, and I've played with scum Axle before.

Now I have to get to Axle's case on me....sigh.
