I think if the occasional game is themed and not-really mafia it's cool (like AoE was fucking weird and from experience I'm not gonna do that again; I think there are ways to make the game good with the alliance twist more akin to PYP:Interesting than what I did). Mostly all I'm talking about is players, not setups, but setup/role creation goes into that. I think the tendency for players to favor weird/interesting roles detracts from the whole point of the game. They eventually rely on those roles. This is intentional by design in most PYP games, which is fine. In some other themed games which tend to be closed I think it becomes really weird. (Ex. SpaceStation). In particular I really really like how both Curu and BC do their themed setups. They are both spot on in terms of overall balance, roles, fun factor, story/flavor, etc. | ||

In any case, I'd like to make this game full, but I can rebalance the teams if nessesary for a lower amount of players if we dont have full signups by tomorrow at the deadline. | ||
