I still dont think it was some awful, terrible play everyone is calling it but I'd rather take that up in the end game. I know this post isn't really related to the game but I'm getting a little annoyed seeing people talk about how I had a dumb townie plan when it wasn't really a 'plan' to begin with.
The problem with your idea for starting the game immediately is that there is going to be a little voice in the back of everyone's head for the entire game "maybe thrawn is actually mafia and fucked up". It's happened before, scum have fucked up and claimed miller on day 1.
You could have achieved the same result without creating this escape route for the mafia. If you then turn it around and play the most successful game of your life it's going to be fine.
But what happens if you screw up a bit, bet on the wrong lynches, vote for the wrong people, then on day 4 in lylo or something, you're still sitting there, not dead, not having helped the town scumhunt... someone will remember your stunt from day 1, and suddenly maybe it's you who gets lynched, and we lose the game.
I mean, if you're scum, this would have been a great play to exploit the fact you've not played enough games for everyone here to know you, but I honestly think you're town.
The point is while your goal was an admirable one, the way you chose to achieve it created an unnecessary problem, which could have been avoided had you chosen other means to reach your goal.

To expand on this, there was once a game where a scum player claimed vigi, and then later claimed that the red check on him might be due to him being a miller. This was not possible setup-wise, yet a lot of people let him off the hook.
Scum fuck up just as much as townies do, but when you do it on purpose as a townie you're just inviting chaos. I don't understand why townies keep fucking making these fake claims as "plays" when they end up being bad almost every single time.

I get that it's messy but I don't mind what it's led to. I know you said that's irrelevant to how good/bad it actually is.. but never at any point before or during my claim did I think I had messed anything up. If I'm good at anything as town, it's getting on a lot of people's town read lists during D1. I was never concerned about actually getting lynched because of it, especially not D1.
My other point is that I did not really have a goal when it started. The joke:plan ratio of what happened leaned way further towards joke than what it eventually turned into. All I feel comfortable admitting was dumb was my assumption that we all assume everyone else reads OPs.

Everything about his game seems slightly off, and I think it's the better lynch between him and Jay.

I've switched my vote to Tunkeg. Thanks to WBG for the meta analysis, the other reasons are pretty obvious.
With this I'll have some time to think a little more about jay. What got me was his initial sheeping behavior regarding
1. thrawn and
2. me (after VE wrote the case).
That combined with his very defensive activity as opposed to the scumhunting one.
Anyway, I might post something more detailed later.
I'd also like to lynch grush early, possibly not today. I can't stand having him in lategame.
While this might look like a policy, I lost the previous game by lynching another guy instead of him, simply cause the other guy was more readable.
You'll always find a little suspicious something in readable players, and grush isn't readable.

It's a ridiculously dangerous game trying to guess someone's alignment based on the actions of others (the people voting him), but I just like the Adam lynch a whole lot better.

first of all, no one is asking you to guess the scumteam right now, and second of all, your guesses seem pretty fucking bad.
VE is at best a null for me, I'm not scum, and I'm almost certain Djo is not either.
I'm surprised you don't find Tunkeg scummy. In fact, since you're so hardline against Adam and you've more or less ignored Tunkeg, I have my doubts about your alignment. It's pretty fucking shady that you don't even consider the case against Tunkeg.

I've read Adams filter.
So basically, the case on him seems to be built on "the change of tone in his post".
That post with changed tone dabears mentioned was written one day after the last ones, so it's likely that he's writing like that cause he's not heated up like the day before.
That day, he finished into an OMGUS fight with dabears, where they basically both vote for each other cause they argue about having to vote for the people you lean scum on.
