Oh wow. Just saw this, gg all. Don't like playing scum nearly as much as town, and it broke the streak I had going, but oh well.
Big ups to JH. I absolutely spent the entire time thinking "Oh man, JH just playing like PTP3 again, we can milk this for all it's worth." All the while it was an act AND you were directing my shots (AND you weren't town...). I got played hard. Very nice.
Also to Hiro, who partially carried my butt as scum. I think I would have done something stupid and gotten lynched relatively early if it had just been me.
I can't believe nobody was more disbelieving of my claim. It interacted with almost nothing, but I was hoping I added enough stupid flavor in that nobody would think it was a fakeclaim. If anyone called me out on it, I was going to play the "Why would Grey give me such a stupid fakeclaim if I were scum?" card. Go ssheep!
Thanks hosts for putting this together and handling everything. Game ran very, very smoothly imo, which was impressive given that there was so much going on.

Meh, Gonzaw dying would have actually increased time needed to LYLO due to the way things worked out, as was speculated throughout the thread, Black was neutralized as a significant threat by then.

I was actually thinking your claim sounded fake as hell, but I ignored it completely because there was literally no way I could go for that drastic of a playstyle change once the third faction's existence got outed.

alright srsly, why didn't you guys shoot keirathi night 2 or 3.

Why were there two KP last night?
|
There wasn't 2 kp, there was 1.5, which was enough to kill you (.5 HP) and Matt (1 hp)
|
Gg red scum
Also on further thought, I find I really don't mind losing as long as I can lynch Drazerk.
|
You looked super townie.
Ummmm. I think some of it was being worried about busses/medics. I know this last night we were going to shoot you, but then I got paranoid that matt would bus you with a scumread and either kill hiro or I (bad) or Gonzaw/Jingle (who we needed alive to mislynch). So instead, we put all our KP on matt, figuring he wouldn't bus himself, and that if snb protected matt, they might both take lethal KP.
N3...I'm not entirely sure?
|
If you had shot me n3, Hiro would have died, rofl.
Would have been epic!
|
i shoulda been able to bus myself... that shit sucked

As a spectator I reaaaaaaaaaaally wanted your role to be real because it was so bad. I just would have loved it if someone signed up for a game where everyone had a power and they got: sheep. Hilarious.

Grey can you tell us exactly how town could win this game without both scum teams going 100% against each other?
This D1 was a miracle or something. Considering there are 6 anti-town players that would be extremely happy with a misslynch, the chances of a D1 misslynch are high as fuck. After that...it's 6 scum 6 town and it's the same thing. Very early in the game there can be more scum than town. How the hell can town win from that?
Again, this game was like a super town display in comparison with what could have happened (D1 misslynch, N1 town death, D2 misslynch, N2 town death, bye bye town).

If you get lucky and lynch Dr. Kliner black scum will have a really hard time.
Black scum team had 0 killing power other than gordan, so their job is to help town lynch scum anyway to get a foot hold. so that shifts the balance of power to the town some degree.
Other than that town had a TON of medic protection. You lost some of it fairly quickly but mass claiming imo was a bad idea. Even if you were going to do that the fact mattchew did not use his power lost the game for town. Without Jingle or Matt sending in powers, the scum team knew exactly what was in play and was able to plan out their shots perfectly to net 2 kills, when previously they were lucky to get 1.

Well, bear in mind, Red and Black had opposing Wincons. We had to kill each other as well.

It is theoretically possible for town to lose this game without ever mislynching. So the game just really depends on blue actions.
That said I wish my role was a little better. It's not much of a protective role with only one extra life, covering like three people per night.

the fact mattchew did not use his power lost the game for town
???

I see what you mean, you cant buss yourself so it wouldn't matter in this particular case. But announcing in the thread you were not going to use your power didn't help much.
