I don't get why wbg thinks the case against Toad is so weak. He's used dumb confirmed town arguments, he's used "they are scum and therefore they are acting like scum" arguments.
He fingered VE as certain scum without making any sort of case on him, only to later make an absolutely shambolic case. He pointed fingers at ghost arbitrarily and then totally OMGUS'd gonzaw, deciding to disregard his previous reads and go after gonzaw instead.
At the least, it seems a reasonable starting point.

Can I ask you guys something? If I'd have let it go down to the wire and told you like, 5 or 6pm if I were on the block, would it have mattered? I planned this claim if shit went south, and I honestly think that if everyone hadn't already had their minds made up it could have been a really good thing for the thread...but that wasn't the case. Would waiting have mattered at all guys?

as I've said 500 times, Toad does that as town as well.
I've told him before that this can bite him in the ass if he's not careful, and every game as town he's suspected by a dozen different people and he wonders why. It's because he says stupid stuff like "I know I'm town so anyone who is accusing me is scum".
His reasoning for calling gonzaw and VE scum is god awful. I agree with that. However, he's not actually wrong about VE (though he is dead wrong about gonzaw, IMO). Just because a player uses bad reasoning, doesn't make them scum. You have to determine whether or not this reasoning makes sense from a scum or a town perspective. From a town perspective, it makes sense that Toad would suspect gonzaw and VE if you can put yourself in Toad's shoes. Toad legitimately thinks that, as town, people shouldn't suspect him because he is town.
He is known as a drama queen as sorts; he tends to bring all attention to himself. Therefore it's not surprising that his most often used tactic is OMGUS. He'll just lash back at anyone who suspects him. It makes him harder to read unless you already know that's his playstyle to begin with.
VE should know this because he's played with Toad (both as scum together on the same team, and as town) and so he should know why it's disingenuous to call Toad scum based on this. Yet, when I asked him why Toad was scum the first time, he dodged the question and said "Toad is scum because he is scum and because you don't agree with me."
Me not agreeing with VE on Toad being scum is not a reason for Toad being scum. It'll never be a valid reason for anyone being scum, because it isn't logically tenable and my thoughts and opinions have absolutely no correlation to Toad's alignment.
