EPTI don't have any objections to this practice as I try to avoid imposing any sort of restrictions on what players can post, other than game rules required to keep the game fair and civil. But then I craft my role PMs so that any similarities are deliberate. With the investment of just a little effort other hosts can do the same.

Anyway discussing role PMs hasn't been an issue AFAIK since PYP:I or XLV. I don't think any game since has had that issue. Primarily it's been a problem in PM games, but also a problem of lack of consistency among hosts and co-hosts (in the same game) There are a few obvious solutions, but the best is to simply keep consistency among the hosts. Also one can provide mafia the option to ask for fake claims, that works well too IMO. | ||

Personally I don't mind breadcrumbing your role, just so long as players understand that it could go wrong: I once gave a town and mafia player similar flavor text. I'll also be using my own OP, because this one is too long and most players know it  | ||

EDIT: I made 2 changes to the rules: 1. I edited #6 to read "Posting or sharing any PM you receive from a host." 2. I added #11 which reads "Breadcrumbing the specific wording of your role PM. Do not compare the wording in your role PM to prove your alignment." Hopefully between the two, that fixes the breadcrumbing problem. Please let me know if you would like me to change the phrasing a bit. | ||

1. prplhz 2. Ver ...you know, for the playerlist instead of linking to their profiles? Filter is arguably the best new function we've been graced with, and one of the biggest issues I have right now is like, trying to think of a page that had a post by someone so I can go filter them. What if we linked to their filter for the game they're in in the player-list? That way we could all just go to Pg1 and click their name for a filter of the game? Food for thought. | ||

I see what you're saying though, it seems like it would be more work. But in my experience hosting (lolbad, you were there) it seems like something they could do like, between cycle changes when not much is going on. Just a thought.  | ||

Kurumi is known as the only person to capitalize everytime he types "You." He came under suspicion so we made him claim and in his role PM the "You" was capitalized leading everyone to think that he had faked the role PM and typed it up by himself. | ||
