I'd like to add [T] Hogwarts Mafia to the queue. Ange777 is co-hosting, but we need more people to help collaborate on the game. any other Harry Potter fans out there? | ||

The reason why you thought it was like that was because the queue hadn't been updated in a while. People made requests knowing that there was space (if the thread was up-to-date) | ||

Making the queue longer is not actually any solution at all though. you'll have the same situation as now, only with a slightly longer list. (which also leads to more corpses in the queue as hosts forget about them) The way it's now, it's a doggy dog world, but it works. | ||

When there's a spot open you have to post in this thread. If there's not a spot open when you post, then nothing changes to the queue. There's not a queue for the queue (which would be the same as just extending the queue). As it is first come first serve, you must post in here when a spot is open (regardless if you already posted and didn't get on the queue). To ensure that requests do happen in chronological order, I update the OP then read through this thread and add games to the queue. For a while, there was actually a seven game limit to the queue for each type of game, instead of the three/four that there is now. The problem was is that someone would post a game on the queue, but if they were near the end by the time it was their turn to host they weren't able to host anymore. That is, the time between getting on the queue and actually hosting was way too long. The three/four game limit helps out since if someone is on the queue they have a good idea of when they will actually be hosting. So yes, making the queue longer doesn't really solve any problems. The only reason we would make it longer is if we had a larger player base and games were filling up much faster. | ||
