I saw your original link last night. I couldn't help but laugh, but decided not to say anything. Yes, the new link is the correct Doubt manga. The story itself sucks though. Just read Liar Game.

Woah, I've been reading Liar game, so far all the games are pretty awesome. We definitely need to find a way to bring the smuggling from round 3 into mafia. Minority rules could be interesting, but it seems so solveable. I wonder how well the revival game would work in practice.

Liar game is the best manga ever :p

How often is Liar Game updated?

Forget College. I'm moving to Japan and scamming people out of millions for opening letters.

Am I missing something? Why wouldn't you put it into a bank, collect interest and everyone wins? oO? (I'm only at chapter 1, so don't spoil anything please oO)

Coulda at least added as a rule "You cannot put this in the bank, or you will instantly lose the game". Would be a simple add on that keeps continuity. If I figured this out after chapter one, surely someone would have suggested it to him?

Starting Doubt... really good so far(chapter 2). I will limit myself to 5 chapters a day!

I was thinking the rules from Liar Game should also include that if you simply put the money in the bank the game instantly ends and you lose. Or something to keep someone from simply keeping it in the bank growing interest during that period of time. Although sense I posted I'm coming to realize there are ways to lose if you do this too...

you could make interest, but if you lose, you still have to pay it back so interest in the short span between games wont help much

Well, since you're only holding the money for a brief period of time, you probably wouldn't make a lot of interest-- over the course of the 30 days during which the game is played, bank fees are likely to outweigh interest-- especially because of the low interest rates present due to Japan's liquidity trap throughout the 90s and early 00s. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_Decade_%28Japan%29).
Also, unless the game was during a 30 day or 28 day month, and started on the last day of the previous month, you probably won't make any interest at all, since banks (generally) only pay interest at the end of the month on money that has been stored there since the 1st day of the month.

Good call, that was what I came up with too ^^

Suddenly, a random thought.
While amazing, I never really saw that much of "Mafia" element in this manga exactly. And Then There Were None was in a way as much as Mafia-ish as Doubt.
