You have to be sitting out a game you would have been playing in otherwise. You can't play in a game you host pretty much by definition. Plus you aren't actively sitting out. You are still doing a ton of stuff by being the host. Edit: This is only my opinion. If people want to discuss it, I'm open to discussion on it, but I don't believe you should be able to count a game in which you are the host. | ||

it isn't helpful to just yell at a player for being bad. give him advice to improve, tell him why he is wrong/illogical in a matter of fact way that is constructive | ||

I can't attack his arguments without jeopardizing the game. If you can't attack arguments without attacking the player, you shouldn't be attacking at all. Build your case around the posts the player is making. If you don't feel like you can do that without revealing something you shouldn't, then find someone else to build a case around, or go think about the game some more until you can build a case. | ||

Geez, I've always been of the opinion that some Trashtalk has its place, and the psychological tilt it incurs from the players could be used to great advantage. Is that not the purpose of Mafia?  I guess it depends on the setting and environment. Irregardless of personal bias, whenever I play mafia I always look for openings that can be exploited, wounds that can be (re-)opened to disorient the enemy. Sigh, I'll bring it down. Nothing's worth being unable to participate. | ||
