I would enjoy every second of this ride should i be competing there ![]() Apparently they will be opening up the site after the OIympics and possibly even building some extra trails around it which would be great. Does sound like they might take out some of the rock elements if they are opening it to the general public though =(

Don't think it should be called Gymnastics tho. It is much more like Rythmic Ballet or Rythmic Dancing but I suppose the Gymnastics part is nec. to be in the Olympics.

Very pleasing for the eye. ![]()

What the hell are you talking about ? It's only races. I didn't see the Women's Elliot finals you are obviously upset about but let me remind you that Australia got 3 gold in the discipline.

How can refs even see infractions when they happen? I should probably find an english stream of it if I'm actually bothering to watch speed walking haha. Read an interview with a referee this morning. He said the first important rule is: The human eye should be able to see groundcontact which he explained allowed the sportsman to have both feet in the air for about 40ms. The other important rule was about a certain degress which the legs have to be stretched (sorry for the bad explanation). I have no idea how good google is going to translate but if you want to try it you can see the interview here: http://www.zeit.de/sport/2012-08/mein-olympia-gehrichter
