Ah I see misread your post I have to admit I don't follow much of the team sports at the olympics because our broadcasting here in the Netherlands is atrocious (I've tried watching stuff on BBC stream using a proxy most of the time), but isn't Germany usually pretty good at the team sports?

Well usually, yes.Only bright sports are hockey and men's volleyball, who exceeded expecations by making the ro8. But most others got worse over the last years and didn't qualify. Especially our women's football and men's handball teams fail was a shock.
