it isn't IOC responsability to distribute sanctions.

The beach volley is indeed more action packed than one could think.

Do you really think he is clean now ? I mean, come on, the guy runs faster now than when he was on drugs... (well it's very likely the others use some too but for Gatlin it is very naive to think that he is "clean" now)

The rules should be zero tolerance, its a black cloud that hangs over sport, and certain events in particular Being even slightly lenient with drugs cheats will only make more people try to get away with it. Gatlin isn't the only one, Chambers should never have been allowed to compete (from what I remember the British team didn't want him but he took it to court and won and the IOC let him enter because he was only banned for 2 years). Vinokourov is another one who comes to mind, once they're caught doping they should be given life bans from all competition and then they can crawl away into a hole or get some shitty minimum wage job somewhere because they blew their chance at ever being something great.

So at our late night sports show one of our judoka's (Edith Bosch) said that she sat just behind the apparently drunk guy who threw the bottle at the 100m mens final. Apparently he was shouting insults at Bolt.
Bosch slapped him before he got arrested by security. Serves him right, what an idiot.

Hahaha, hating and whining is almost all you do in this thread Otolia <3
You know full well why only Gatlin was mentioned by someone in regards to doping and the outcome of this finals.
I won't respond to your pathetic trolling any more though, it puts a dampener on a great race.

It's the IOC who control the Olympics. They could easily make it a condition for competitors to be excluded if found guilty of being a drugs cheat. The vast majority of athletes want the drug cheats out too.

Go read my post history, and see what I wrote earlier about Chambers. Then apologise please.
Here we go from earlier.

massive difference.

It really feels sad that Gay didn't get the bronze. Gatlin shouldn't be allowed to compete. Well he might get the bronze as it's quite obvious that he have taken some illegal substance as he's running faster now then what he did when he was caught taking drugs.

Not sure what your point is. You keep claiming that all the athletes, swimmers and cyclists are doped up. I am just saying that you cannot ban them until you find evidence, you seem to want them banned without this evidence. Is this your position?
Why do you even watch the Olympics if you don't think anyone is clean?

Sorta Olympics related, this hilarious commerical just ran on NBC right before the replay of the 100 M finals.

He might still have some advantage of the old drugs. The runners are also faster today, so it's possible that he's tried copying the jamaican runners training routines and have improved that way. Gatlin was also quite young when he got caught, so he probably hadn't peaked yet. Either way it doesn't really matter if he's clean now, first of all because of my first point. Drugs don't just stop having an effect after you stop using them. There are pretty much always long-term effects, and secondly he should be banned because of the damage he have done towards the scene. The ppl who hand out the bans seems to overlook the first point.
