He was placed in a room with a north-african (Amine Laalou I think, missed the beginning and the exact name) runner during a meeting in february. The other runner had some medical stuff for intravenous infusions lieing around openly, apparently hinting towards doping with Insulin. Just before or after the run, the stuff was used, as could be ssen by some blood being left in it. The runner proceeded to run a time that meeting he had not ran for quite some time. The austrian runner reported this to the authorities (anti-doping agency and/or IAAF) straight away in february, as he had taken some pictures. The other runner got banned just before the olympics. This sounds quite bizarre, and half a year appears to be a long reaction time, even though, they obviously had to find more and objective evidence. | ||
