Unfounded matchfixing accusations are not welcome. Refrain from making off-the-wall accusations without concrete evidence.

to be fair the english lpl casters have been selling him as the best adc in the world like their job depended on it, so it's really hard for us non-lpl watchers to be sure how good he really is, that said as I mentioned earlier, what we've been told about his playstyle really doesn't contradict what we've seen, with everything but the imp head to head (which he didn't do that well in lane vs. either) being pretty meaningless
Carrilord has arrived.

I said it once, I've said it again and I'll always say it. EDG are not good laners, they never were. Their playstyle is as long as they don't die lose by 10 minutes they can overcome any lane deficits by teamfighting and normally namei is the epitome of this because of his positioning and cooldown usage.

That being said, I still think namei is overhyped but he's still legit as fuck and yes that playstyle is absurdly abusable, that's how starhorn takes maps off them they just overrun them early while clearlove is off farming his jungle

It's really not surprising though. Namei always plays botlane passively, they focus on mid and lategame to win with straight up better teamfight. Imp is super fucking aggressive at all points in the game, thus mechanical aggressive players always overstomp shitty botlanes, while mechanically passive laners just go even most of the time.

Namei's decision making is also just poorer than Imp's. He was the most overrated player on PE and is still the most overrated player on EDG.

imo he's just a super teamfighter, like his teamfighting is so good that the other areas in which he lacks compared to other world class ADC, still keeps him in contention for world's best ADC.

if that's true I don't understand why (I've only watched china regional finals) analysts keep saying saying he's the best ad in the world if his laning is so poor.

because his team plays in such a way that his mediocre laning phase is a non-issue.

yeah pretty much this, who needs laning when you can still win teamfights when down 5k-10k gold? obviously abusable, but considering the level of Chinese teams, it's not surprising to me that they're #1 in China. People will always look good agaisnt um early on, then they make the old as fuck mistake of teamfighting a chinese team.

something that actually really worries me about fnatic and C9 is why they played so much solo queue during the week-and-a-half before Worlds started. Maybe they're scrimming more now, but why did they have so many games played compared to players from TSM and ALL?

C9 lives in apartament, so they can play 24/7, rest teams scrims from Riot office.

Cuz Hai's mechanics are an issue for C9. He needs A LOT of mechanics training

Biggest problem is that he doesn't know how to lane correctly (when to go aggro / when back up etc) and it's super hard to fix that when whole live you play like retard and no one punish you for that.

Yea, I always wondered how they communicate in game. Does Isec/Zero know basic Chinese/English, or do they literally talk Korean amongst themselves, with the other 3 members speaking Chinese, and using pings?

I'm pretty sure they are playing as many scrims as they can get while in Korea. The fact that they grind solo queue is separate than their scrimming. Just because you don't see the results of their scrims doesn't mean it isn't happening. Also while in Korea, there was a major Korean holiday(Chuseok), so the Korean players definitely had days off to visit their families. The fact that they can grind solo queue in Korea like that impresses me more than worries me. I think these guys enjoy playing the game and so grinding solo queue is helpful more than harmful. I see nothing wrong with their decisions even if c9 places last in their group.

The casters talked about it a bit. They said they basically use a combination of simplified English and pings but when things get crazy sometimes they may speak in native languages. Not sure how accurate that is

well juding from lcs listen-ins, during teamfight it's basically everyone trying to shout the loudest which champion to focus.

If OMG goes 2nd in their groups and matches Najin, I think they actually has a chance. OMG actually matches Najin fairly well IMO.

People are getting a little hyped up on the how good royal club looks and how "bad" EDG looks, group stages (because of the disparity in talent) have always made "playmaker" based teams look stronger. Insec specifically has made himself into a fan favorite styling all over lesser skilled teams whilst being closer to decent in games vs. actual threats.

I'm just surprised that Namei/FzzF lost twice vs Dark Passage botlane while Imp/mata have consistently stomped their lane every game.

Namei's food poison issue is real. They even considered playing with a sub in the opening match.

On this night pray for Lord GreenTea of Blizcranksvia and his comrades of AHQ as they thunder down the lowly Dark Passage from Turkvania, crush the Goliath Edward Gaming from Chintania and then beat them once more in the tiebreaker to make the greatest upset story in League of Legends history.

Damn I actually didn't realise how hype NJWS vs OMG will be, Gogoing vs Save and Cool vs Ggoong. Guess we'll have at least one hype match, since the other three will be chinese regionkill and Samsung styling on west :f
Americans don't like to use unblockables, it is considered not honest. You press a button at the wrong time and hit the other person, you are random, not a top player. You DP Sim's far fierce, it is random and not honest.

I hope we will get a tiebreaker between TSM and SHRC. Would be an exciting match. Because getting first in group is atually very important.
