I love how monte criticized TSM for picking up amazing but they easily had the biggest bust of all time and their scouting during the tryouts was clearly terrible

seraph IS a good player but its the fault of the coaching/team to consistently put him on shit like maokai/lulu instead of what he excels at. He plays very well on champs like nid/yasuo/etc...

Good player is able to play meta champions and have impact on the game.

yep. I don't think he is that good of a player. The language barrier is a problem also. seraph was a bad pick in general.

It's the truth though. It's not possible to be a coach of a team while not being there in person. Thinking that's possible is foolish. At most all that person is, is an analyst.

Alliance coach was doing his job remotely all the time. Only moved in very recently.

but to be fair, Seraph is probably the least of CLG's problems. Link has been really underwhelming/non-existent for a long long time. Dexter has also been playing quite bad - he seems to have absolutely no confidence in his play. You can see it in how scared and cautious he plays in almost every single game.

Calling Curse over Cloud 9 actually.
No jokes.
TSM and CLG out of the Worlds as well, 4 Chinese teams at Worlds.

Aaand, rofl.

I'm excited for the dig-tsm match. At the end i would tend to say that either curse or dig gets 6th place. If these two teams fight each other for the 5th spot it could become pretty big.

As much as I hate to say it, CLG might end up in the battle for 5th place with dig. They started summer split with an aggressive style and making plays, but in the latter half they've settled for "Let's sacrifice top lane and hope bot lane carries us". In particular they've looked lost since the hyper-scaling ADs took over the meta.

If Crumbzz ain't going to play like in past 2-3 weeks, Dignitas have everything to steamroll TSM. Just ban Syndra and Zed, force Bjergsen on Orianna, get Kha'Zix or something like that for Crumbzz, force standard lanes, don't fight dragons with disadvantages. If TSM are going to make Worlds, Locodoco is just a legend.

CLG just need to setup plan and execute it, Curse's advantage here that they have nothing to lose, so CLG need to fight their inner choker finally, it's time. I will make bold prediction - who wins first game, will win the series 3-0.

But honestly, i just want to see C9-CLG in semifinals, this possible bo5 has everything to be sick and amazing.

As expected.
Well, not that time.
It was a good ride, boys, i will be with you until the disband anyway.

stupid dragon play costed him his advantage pretty much.

CLG's strategic calls are right most of the time, but their tactical play and decisions are pretty awful. The team could face relegation. I wonder where those problems come from though, because they kinda appeared midseason.

they were probably always there but it didn't matter since other teams were playing poorly. I remember a lot of games clg was winning early on in the season was because they'd randomly push down mid, catch someone out and win the game.

were those early season wins tactical brilliance or flukes where they just caught people with their pants down?

Honestly the problem with CLG has always been Double. Every iteration of the team falls into the exact same issue. Think it's about time we stopped ignoring the only consistent link throughout all the iterations.

This is pretty much my line of thinking, especially the Dexter part.

There is a reason why no top team in EU wanted Dexter after Nuke abandoned him.

I honestly don't see how anyone can defend seraph at this point. Like, you'd have to dig REALLLYY deep to think he wasn't causing a ton of issues in CLG. You watch any team fight and it feels like they have to tell seraph exactly what to do every time and exactly when to teleport as if he can't think for himself. What's worse is that his "potential korean mechanical skill" has literally brought nothing to the table the entire split. He never wins lane, he doesn't 1v2 well ever, and he never makes clutch plays. He isn't even a neutral like link. He's straight up has negative impact.
