The were the dominant team in North America since like early s2 (when CLG went to Korea). They became big streaming personalities while League's popularity exploded.
I mean until the LCS, there were basically only 4 teams - CLG, TSM, Dignitas and Curse, so that is why they have a huge % of fans. Only C9 were able to get a good number of fans due to team success and a good marketing team.
TSM is arguably the #1 brand in LoL. And they've earned it.

So, yeah, probably at least a little bit.

you are kind of screwed against a shyvana that does 250% increased damage, thats like having over 3 shyvanas in your team.

Now its effect on a single LoL match is probably pretty limited but it when your practicing for long hours or even a long final it is probably good.
Back in BW the koreans had physical exercise as part of there training aswell.

If you look in the mirror, you're feelin ripped, pretty much means when you get in game, you're ready to bop nerds.

Starcraft is a bit different and RTS in general. Your wrists can be hurt sooo huge, you can't even imagine. But MOBAs can hurt as well.

I do agree. And sport increases your concentration. Monte said in an interview that his team does workout. Or he said he wanted to do that and that korean teams do sport like sk telecom.

Visiting a gym is for looks not for health. yeah, the last sentence was pretty much joking, but I think you understand my overall sentiment. When pro players are cooped up playing league for a majority of the day, it's important to have a balance of exercise for both physical and mental health reasons. physical exercise has positive mood benefits, in particular, and mental state is really important in a game like league.
