In case you missed it casters said MYM submitted their roster change too late so MYm cant play with the mid laner they practised with, and Czaru who is on vacation from LoL has to play.

And by that, I thought they were shitty because they took forever to close out shit teams. Instead, what they have shown is that they are just a really good slow-play team when winning or losing.

Yeah I had the same feeling after promos and the first week - they have this slow, passive style where they focus on staying even for first ~20 minutes and then focus on teamfighting. Even in game against Fnatic, they didn't really do much early other than reading what Fnatic did, letting them do it for free and instead getting an undefended objective. And it actually worked, I think Roccat would've won if not for many individual mistakes (Celevar flashing into the entire team, Overpow getting caught in a baron dance, Jankos dying too soon in some of the teamfights). I wonder whether they will change this style eventually, and if other teams will learn how to deal with it if they don't (EG didn't have as much success after all and they had arguably more individual talent).

Celevar getting caught out numerous times was to me the main reason Roccat lost. He was always so far forward, like he forgot to look behind him to see if his team was there.

...and I still think Gragas jungle sucks. Largely because it's such a different playstyle from almost every other jungler. Everyone fails terribly on it. I don't know if I've seen a good Grungle yet.

Is it just me or are alliance really bad. Froggen we know can play, and is just on crapy form. But I swear, other than maybe tabz (haven't seen much from him, seems to do ok) and obviously froggen, their team is dogshite. Wickd seems over-rated and then there's the other two. Shook and nyph just look awful. They seem as if forggen just picked two random diamond 2 players. Sure they are good at lol compared to most but they really don't look professional standard. I don't get how players of that standard are being paid to play. Nyph's thresh play in particular is just so meh. I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sat like 0 hooks landed after laning phase all lcs (ok maybe the odd one on Leona but that doesn't really count). Where did Froggen find these players? And he really needs a shot caller and team leader.

I thought that Nyph was considered a top 3 european support a few years back, he's not just someone random o.O Also Wickd was like a top top laner in Europe for a long time, even if you feel hes overrated

The current meta even suits Wickd a lot, he just seems determined not to play it for some reason. He used to be one of the only guys that played Renekton last season and now won't pick it when it's open while going damage in a tank meta :<

There are rumors that squad of Alliance changed because management wanted some famous players, and not just good ones (so Wickd had to stay instead of picking up Jwaow and they switched Kazmitch for Nyph). Shook was pretty universally considered to be a top European jungler, even by Diamondprox, pretty much everyone seems to be suprised by how badly he's doing. Overall in this case I think there are so many possible explanation's on "what went wrong" that I'd rather hear pros' opinions than fan speculations.

Tell me one reason why management want famous player instead of a good one. At the end you have famous players but loose? I prefer have unknown good players and win.

These are rumors, I'm not a pro player or a manager, so I have no idea. I imagine it's either because management wanted to pull more money from streaming, more attention to the brand (for example more people following the players on twitter/facebook and therefore more advertisement potential) etc. I mean people care what Wickd has to say, he has a personality, what do you know about Jwaow other than that he's considered to be a good toplaner? Remember that this is the same org that sponsored Idra because they knew how much attention he was getting from the community. Also, Wickd and Nyph are not only better known, but also more experienced. Shook lacks experience on big stage and many people think that this is what's bringing him down.

Afaik with the original roster of jwaow/shook/froggen/freeze/edward it fell through because freeze and jwaow were contractually bound to their teams and I guess EG had no interest in buying them out and edward only wanted to play with freeze.

I'm pretty certain that's the case with Freeze and Edward, not sure about Kazmitch and Jwaow though. It's certainly possible with the latter, but they could sign him after TCM disbanded... I guess they wouldn't want to make such big change two weeks before LCS, so this leaves the question whether Nyph was a better call than Kazmitch.

Actually Nyph officially joined just a day before TCM disbanded, so if the players knew that their team was disbanding Jwaow could set himself a deal with Alliance... But there's too many unknown circumstances here so I'll leave it at that.

TCM disbanded after they failed to make promos so jwaow was a free agent when ocelote picked him up. Idk why alliance didn't get there first maybe they decided to roll with wickd because dignitas management decided to help alliance make their roster.
Well idk when TCM exactly disbanded considering that I spotted naruterador, barneyD and motroco playing for other teams before TCM officially announced it I assume jwaow was a free agent before TCM officially disbanded so it seems likely that alliance made a conscious decision to not take jwaow.
