It is a means to estimate the competetive strength of a team. If soemone just says team x is "strong" or "weak" that doesnt really say anything, you need a point of comparison to give perspective. So you say instead, team x is stronger than team y. And if you extend that to a whole group, you automatically arrive at a power ranking.

We'll see as the season goes on. Froggen is still top-3 midlane in Europe, just not top-1 for sure like it was in S2. In Europe, where to survive you need to have world class midlaner, it's basically very decent. And he's still stepping up hard in playoffs, so hard that sometimes you wonder why can't he play everytime like that.
Who the hell would be the best midlaner in EU if it isn't froggen? Alex and xPeke are both more overrated than Froggen.

Alex, Peke and Froggen are tied for me. They just have different styles totally, all three.
And i can't wait to see more Kerp and Overpow.

He's solo queue boss, no more. Basically he showed nothing in LCS, Alternate were carried hard by Creaton before injury and after it they struggled with some ingenuity by Araneae and Kerp.
