I missed the couple of fan pages but i cheer for CLG and the Toronto Maple Leafs. Im destined to never be happy.
just gonna keep cheering for Coast instead. TSM and EG are alright too.

I can also imagine the 3 months worth of flamewar that will happen if NA wins that way...

I can't imagine C9 beating Fnatic so no worries there.

I thought the scoring is pretty meaningless and it's all about the matchups themselves?
|
Prediction:
XD.GG wil win
C9 will win
|
Tbh C9 beating fnatic could clearly happen. Fnatic aren't known to tryhard in this kind of competition, they win when the results really matter. The score is flawed anyway because of the new lemondogs roster and the fact that they were worth so many points.

after Vulcan loses today EU will be up 2 points, but c9's game is worth 3. the format is pretty dumb from a competitive standpoint but I think they wanted it to e impossible to clench before sunday.

Fnatic is actually practiced this time and surely they will "tryhard" when it's for European pride and also 2k$ for each player for a quick bo5.

He's talking about the weight of the tournament regarding EU vs NA, not the points won by teams or the prizepool.
It's obvious that if Gambit 2-0's Vulcun and C9 beats Fnatic 2-1, EU will have gone 7-4 in the tournament and proven to be stronger, on top of the "LD 1 week old joke team" excuse.

That kind of sucks. Don't know why Riot insists on making these special events have a serious side to them(Like All-stars).

Isn't there a pretty huge difference here in that Riot employs all these players and these aren't some meaningless games in a tournament they have already been eliminated in?

I don't think there's a huge difference, both games are fairly meaningless

It's amusing a region can win 3-2 on teams yet still lose because of some silly point system that had to be put up to keep hype going.
And why can't we just have a little bracket, with some nice pricemoney at the end. Start by NA vs EU and see who moves on and takes it at the finals.

No one in NA is complaining about the format, even though it's the exact same for us.

What do these results do again? I didn't even know anyone could care about anything but the games for this event, but maybe I was just oblivious to something that the results determine?
