To be fair China is still in the middle of a massive roster cataclysm with teams exploding left and right. It'll be interesting to see what happens in LPL

I'd be ok with introducing a 4th ban for each team, as the champion pool is starting to get to a point where 3 bans just aren't enough. What was it originally, like 3 bans for ~70 champs, and now they expect us to have 3 bans per team for 117 champs? It's just not enough. They could increase number of bans by removing kassadin from the game If you want to balance Kassadin, make his R be a CD of 20/16/12, problem solved. I don't play or watch Dota 2, so I don't know too much about their pick/ban phase. And Faker got MVP again, I think PoohManDu got robbed. Dota 2 does it: BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK+PICK -> PICK -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK -> PICK -> PICK -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK This makes it so more variety can be picked since there can be more thought given to making team comps. It also lets you pick more niche champs by late picking them/banning out their counters.

Impact: Shyvana 6 times, Mundo 4 times, Renekton 3 times, Shen twice, and Malphite, Rumble, and Singed once. Bengi: Elise 6 times, Vi four times, Nunu and Olaf 3 times, Rengar and Xin Zhao once. Faker: Riven, Gragas, Orianna and Zed 3 times, LeBlanc twice, Ahri, Kassadin, Nidalee and Karthus once. Piglet: Sivir and Caitlyn 4 times, Vaynne 3 times, Lucian and Ezreal twice, Twitch, Corki and Graves once. ManDu: Zyra 4 times, Annie and Lulu 3 times, Taric, Thresh and Alistar twice, Leona and Nami once. What can you do to ban out a particular player against a champion pool that diverse?

Tencent doesnt seem to care about League that much since it doesnt make as much money compared to other notable games that run in China, but the notable teams all play on NA/KR at times so it doesnt really matter for them

Beating frost at this point means nothing. They didn't just beat them, they humiliated them. And they won the last Chinese tournament but I agree they're unproven, especially since they haven't played competitively on the most recent 3 patches. Anyway I think power rankings are dumb since there's absolutley no basis atm for even comparing these teams

I mean, they fielded maknoon in that tournament to make things worse. Any top chinese team should be reckoned with, but after Worlds it seems like China started falling apart.

Dota 2 does it: BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK+PICK -> PICK -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK -> PICK -> PICK -> BAN -> BAN -> PICK -> PICK Dota 2 also has way more OP/viable champions in general In terms of the percentage of the roster that's played, Dota 2 has a larger percentage, but not by much. Picks are also very similar to League in that there's a stable "core" of heroes that are always played and you get a few odd picks here and there. Either way, Riot needs to look into at least just upping bans. Their stated reason of "not wanting to see players' signature champs always banned out" is a bad reason considering that already happens now on occasion, plus there are ways to structure pick/ban to not allow that to happen.
