Two things as public notice: 1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] + Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis! No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum. 2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future. I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat. So... at least they won't play in the first round. I'm still cringing at "aggressive Chinese teams" I'm torn because my semis ticket is for the winner of this game vs. Fnatic, and I want to see OMG but I think it sucks if Royal flies to the US to just play OMG. wtf is that. | ||

They will run a four to five hour show which is a lot and every minute costs more (there will be a LOT of people working who want to get paid). A Bo3 (and people would still complain about that) for third place would eat 2 more hours of expensive production, would take time away to set up the Grandfinals (and they are supposed to be smooth and perfect), could lessen the hype and there are a probably a lot more reasons I can't think of right now. That's why a 3rd place match at Staples is no option and Riot wants to put all resources into the Grand Finals so they just can't let it be played at another venue and another day. They just don't have the infrastructure to do it. | ||

either royal or swords will get first pick from whatever round the seeds play, bears will get last, and c9 somewhere in the middle. so gambit will be taken first, then between omg and fnatic royal might pick omg for the personal revenge factor, thinking they need to prove themselves. then bears are stuck with t1 lol | ||
