[S3 Worlds] Quarterfinals - Page 135

Two things as public notice:
1. + Show Spoiler [Quarterfinals 1 spoiler] +
Congrats to Fnatic, they played superbly and glgl to them in the Semis!
No one is saying that Fnatic only won because of the level 1 in Game 3. Please keep the nationalistic statements out of our subforum.

2. Riot's Worlds format is atrocious. Let's not beat a dead horse here. I will certainly be talking to Riot's eSports dept about it in the near future.

I simply ask everyone to be civil. Humble in victory, graceful in defeat.
Enjoy the games~

You just have to rely on a hyperscaling AD and counterjungle/objective control extremely heavily.

It doesn't work in Solo Q because you can never rely on anyone but yourself

Unless you're shit tier like me and then he's an animal if you go AP toplane Nunu because nobody knows how to deal with it.

I've also had games in normals with friends where I ks support Nunu and then buy Trinity Force if we snowball hard enough.

I'm a terrible person.

.... that sounds completely legit. You can do basically anything in normals though

Honestly, it's just hilarious to Bloodboil and Triforce speed proc with mobo boots. You can run anyone down and dodge whatever you want. You don't really do any damage though...

I went AD nami in an aram yesterday, the slow + movement speed buff + furor on boots is actually pretty sick

That also sounds hugely amusing.

Pretty sure mathematics people will come in with stats saying blue side is stronger than red.

IMO it is, but that's mainly because of how more people learn/know to play blue side, where-as red side has it's own advantages/disadvantages.

Blue side has a better approach to Baron in a lot of people's opinion.

I thought it was blue side can engage onto baron pit more easily, but has a harder time zoning the other team far enough away from it to do it.

I think it's been more about the pick/ban control in Worlds this time around.

Although purple side barons have been god awful all tournament as well so who knows.

Think it's a bit of both.

Honestly, from what I can tell, Blue side's advantages are easier laning phase (minions running downhill means they should push into blue faster, meaning easier kills), easier access to Baron (compared to red's easier access to dragon), and first pick/ban compared to the 2/2/1 champ select for red.

I generally see the first one being a bigger advantage than the latter.

2v1 top with Nunu seems really smart, since taking dragon early against a Nunu is really hard since he has so much steal potential.

Interesting that Nagne is getting Chalice. Most Ahris build early codex into fast DFG..
