I'm so confused why Bengi didn't hold the solo lane after Lovelin dove at Lv2 vs. TSM. I know the timing was different but there's no excuse.
As for Gambit vs. Ozone, Dandy made some really questionable decisions from ganking choice to flashing over one level behind and giving FB. Bot definitely should've been the primary focus and it was obvious from early on. He simply didn't do enough work to make up for skipping camps, added to the fact Eve clears faster and got FB on him, there was only one lifeline for him and that was to make things happen bot for Imp. Gambit also made a huge mistake trying to gank bot when Singed TP was up but Shen ult was down.
Imp + Mata misplayed the lane very early on by trading aggressively vs. a Sona who has innate sustain and more pots. They managed to come back after that but it really put a lot of pressure on the team.

Imp & Looper so tiny

Who's next??
By the way I wasn't around for the games live, and couldn't find it on search - why is Looper playing instead of Homme? We were talking about this on Team Speak yesterday, most people think Faker will just adjust to the meta better than the other top Mid laners. If you think about it his champion pool is pretty strong. He favors assassins but his Ori is beastly as well. If you can play aggro and control to the level of Faker, you're pretty much a god. "Flexible champion pool" doesn't even begin to describe him.
That's what's so ridiculous about this guy. Looking at the s2 mids they excelled because they were the passive farming type. Ever since Faker didn't need to single-handedly carry SKT with roam champs, the team has been unreal.
I really don't understand how one person can be so mechanically proficient on THAT many champions, in all lane matchups.

I didn't get to see the last game cause of sleeps. Did Gambit look a lot better then their 1st game, or was Ozone playing more of their "meh we have no respect for you" crap that Gambit took advantage of (and know how to keep it)?

Unless they roll out like 4 or 5 new OP mids in a row to really shake up the scene, I think Faker will stay on top of the ranks for awhile

I have the utmost respect (and awe) for the guy, but isn't that what we said about Ambition as well? Granted Ambition's champ pool wasn't as large, but still.

Gambit played really well. Sona landed ults, Darien didn't feed, Alex was Ich, Diamond all over the place on Evelynn, and Genja built TF. Their teamfights were what impressed me the most.

Gambit looked pretty good in both games IMO.
Ozone played the same comp. (Don't think I need to elaborate further ...)

You must've not seen the OMG vs SKT1 game. Faker's back is f'cking unreal.

I did see that game. What's that got to do with when (or if) you think he'll fall off? Ambition at the top of his game was untouchable, and he freefalled ever since facing Dade.

Just saw SKT vs OMG, why did Bengi sell Aegis for Locket? :/

Even in the game SKT lost to OMG, Faker dumped on Cool. I know gragas has advantage post-6, but faker was winning it even before that, when ori should be stronger. If impact&bengi didn't get destroyed, I think SKT would've taken it tbh.
With the breadth of styles, champs and skill that Faker has, I don't think he's likely to fall off any time soon. You can count him as #1 or #2 in the world on almost every single mid laner that is played competitively. When you can play like 10 champions at the competitive level, he can add another one to his arsenal more easily than others I would think.
Ambition was strong, but I don't think he ever dominated the same way that Faker is dominating.

If there's one thing I learned from nearly a decade of ESPORTS, it's that no heroes are invincible.
Believing in the perpetuity of any player just sets you up for crushing disappointment.

Well, the only thing I can think of that would stop Faker is something outside the game itself. Look at Toyz for example (who I always bring up cuz he's my favorite player ever)-- destroyed in S2 finals, top 5 mids for most of S3 and won that silly best mid thing at allstars, quit because TPA collapsed and he lost his passion for the game.
EDIT: Aegis builds into Locket.
