Sinners are better than Atn though imo, and also beat MYM in the qualifier for this. None of the teams in the qualifier should be underestimated. Bo5 should really help though that there are no upsets. Didn't realize SNS is Tabzz's new team. Guess I don't have a good gauge of their strength. Agreed, I really like this change to BO5.

I think the quals give way too much advantage to the LCS teams vs the new ones, only needing half the wins. Also, how did they determine the seeds? Like CW is probably the best LCS team going to the promotions, what would happen if they had to play vs MYM? either team deserves to be in LCS much more than DB atm, for sure.
I think they should change the promotion for next time, make it 2 group stages (7/8th LCS team + drop from playoffs + 4 challengers), top 1 gets in LCS, 2th and 3rd play vs 3rd and 2nd of other group for the 3rd and 4th spot. Would be a lot more fair for both challenger teams, and not making favorites play each other for the same spot

I'd say CW and Giants will most likely stay, DB has a high chance of dropping, aAa vs E4L/Anexis is hard to call and should be the closest bracket.

Since EU LCS is over and some of you European might be online still. Please inform me about the following teams: - Samurais in Jeans (Esports4Life) - TCM Gaming - Anexis eSports
Anything interesting about the team or individual players. Thanks in advance.

They give no advantage to the LCS teams it's a straight up Bo5 with equal chances. The first round is just an extension of the qualifiers to filter out the top 4 challenger teams. It makes no sense to complain that they need half the wins, technically they need less than 1/10th of the wins if you count the entire process and qualifying rounds but that's the whole point of trying to get into LCS vs teams that are already there.
The seeding was very clear, for the challenger teams it was done in the qualifiers and for the LCS teams it's from the standings/playoffs. The only thing I disagree with here is aAa having a higher seed than CW, which should have been the other way around. For CW to play vs MYM they would have had to finish 8th in LCS because MYM is the #1 challenger seed for winning the 1st qualifier (Lille)

What the hell happened in this topic? I understand that Wolves are the hot thing but the original game 3 was even when it had to be restarted. The multitude of posts claiming EG disproportionately benefited from the restart baffles me.

Well regardless of weather its due to they beeing experienced with this kind of thing, CW losing momentum or anyother reason its a fact they benefited more from it then CW. So much more it really showed in the differences in between game 3.0 and 3.1. Does this mean CW were guaranteed to win game 3.0? No but it certanly looked a lot better for them in game 3.0.
Personally i feel that this kind of thing is unacceptable (not EG winning but the technical difficulties) when it comes to a offline event there is no reason to have the offline tournament system so integrated with the online system that factors such as infrastructure, second- and third-party hardware/software can bring down the tournament its unneccesary and stupid. You could very well run it localy and "mirror" it to your online servers if its important for stats/viewers. This goes for all developers who wants their game to look good as an esport.

Pre 20 mins EG showed impeccable play during game three. I'm quite amazed at the contrast between game 3, and regame 3. The ability of EG to plan and adapt during a relatively short amount of time (1-2 hours) shows that they are an exceptionally smart team. I don't recall CLG.EU vs WE well enough to remember the dynamics of that particular series, but during regame 3 vs CW, EG looked absolutely clincal in their execution. Really impressive play that bodes well for them if they can keep it up during the summer series.

Agreed, they can simply route all connections on site through a computer running the LoL server, forwarding same traffic to LoL Online server and ezpz.
Im also sad at riot cause Portugal's College League which has Riot's approval has 0 tournament accounts. Not even like 10 accounts that the players playing the offline quals could use (working kinda similiar to steam caffe accounts, players dont know the user or pass, they just sit there and play on that account) so they could play on tournament server. Also no option to disable spectator delay on customs. So I had to organize my college qualifier, I set the place real nice (No lag, no outages yey, tournament being played on same network that all the students use and 20+ ppl there playing on their own computers in that room connected to the same switches, + starcraft tournament at same time), grab a big ass TV to the center off the room, connect my PC there, join the games as spectetator so ppl could watch the games. 3 min delay spoiling all the fights and game overs.

Just came back and watch the VoD for match 3. Fuck that dc. And damn all those EG fanboys in the audience, z_z Worse than the wards cheers 2 weeks after the World Finals.
Wolves really didn't play well after that remake. The dive that gave them the kill on Nautilus and the outer top was... meh. Pretty badly done by CW, Naut could have survived that considering their resources and how EG went far from putting all their resources in it. Bah. Screw that shit. Here's to hope EG will just get smashed to tiny bits in the semi-finals.

5 midlane bans between the teams

Well, Corki + Leona work really well together and Corki counters Alistar! Also counters Malphite but won't come into play here ;(
Again Zac top it seems. Really interesting how no one jungles as him. Well, maybe soaz makes him function better.

Ahri having some kind of mini comeback on the pro scene or what

I kinda like Fnatic picks, j4 leona combos hard, then zac bounces on top of all that. Don't really understand the nidalee pick though.
both teams with a lot of strong meat to stand before their squishies.
smart ward by fnatic at their own blue river, EG pinked blue brush, but were spotted early
and super smart gank by cyanide bot to wickd, standing just outside of tribrush ward, but EG counter with their own mirror gank top.
