At first I hated them because they were so cocky, like CLG.na but winning games, but now they are super manner, always smiling, and still winning some. IPL 5 is showing that EU teams can compete against Asian teams. Yep, EU is definately strong, even before this or the S2 Finals. NA on the other hand still far away from Asian level. TSM is terrible at this IPL5, CLG.NA fair a bit better but honestly they got the easiest group, beating a hugely overrated Fear and Iceland doesnt mean that much. All in all, I think WE has the best shot for the champion spot since staying in winner brackets give WE a huge advantage, they play less games than anyone coming from Loser brackets thus less chance of burnout, also the 2 games advantage in the final is gonna be huge. this just made me realize how clg.na didnt have the chance to play against one of the stronger asian teams, wonder if it would have been a stomp or if they could have held their own like clg.eu, fnatic and M5 did. That was depressing as a CLG fan. Frankly I was DEEPLY unimpressed by wickeds rumble. How he could pick that champion twice in a row and get wrecked so hard both times boggles my mind.
Froggens game 2 build was weird as well, and frankly I don't think it paid off, but what truly killed them was Snoopeh and Wicked derping around the top tower in game 3.
Out of interest, is there any lane that rumble can actually win? Because so far I have only seen him loose in convincing fashion. It's also a very stupid pick if you consider that TPA's best player is usually bebe, so a dive champion to shut him down at least in the mid game would be fairly standard.
Hard weekend to be a CLG fan, they had a chance against WE and TPA but lost both, so in the end nothing is left.

In no particular order: Top: Maknoon, Shy, Lilac, Stanley, Caomei Jungle: Diamond, Lilballz, CloudTemplar, ClearLove, Helios (Chauster is close but not quite) AP: Froggen, Alex Ich, Misaya, Toyz, some Korean AD: Weixiao, Doublelift, Bebe, Kid (?), some Korean Support: fzzf, nRated (?), some Koreans
I actually think WE has the strongest combination of individual talent out of all teams. Their problem has always been (apart from the fails of their previous rosters) poor overarching game strategy, shot-calling (Misaya is the shotcaller, and he does not create enough plays with farming champs to warrant that role) and picks/bans.

Hm. You're actually there so I believe your info, but what we heard pre-tournament was a best of 7 with a 2 game advantage for the winner's bracket team. Is it a best of 5 with 1 game advantage?

I find your list quite amusing 1ntrigue :D especially the some korean part
lemme help you
AP: +Rapidstar AD: Cpt. Jack, SBS Support: Madlife>>Lustboy,FzzF>>>>rest
but especially the AP and Ad positions are so stacked in korea, you could probably make a top 5 list with koreans alone and Nrated cmon now even as a german I gotta say that's abit overhype after "only" 2 good tournaments.
Snoopeh, Joe Miller and Deman just went to bed at 8Am in vegas, I guess those won't be casting today unless the grand final will have the tricast ( Ipl pls) again, just no redbaron+Hatperson for Grand Finals pls.

Yes, Bo5 with 1 game adv for Grand Finals. Loser's Finals is still Bo3.

Rumble wins a shit ton of lanes, it's just Wickd is notoriously bad at AP bruisers/Top picks. His Rumble this week is actually a vast improvement over his previous performances. And don't even suggest Vlad to him, zz.

He said he wasn't too keen on the ongoings of the Korean scene, lol.
Cpt Jack looked more or less fallible at IPL5. He was spot on at Dallas.

I am surprised that Lee Sin got played so many times this tournament. He usually isn't picked that often.
RIP Janna.

He's usually banned more often.

IMO Rumble is solely a counter pick champ, but he's quite good at it vs select champions. I don't know why you would pick him vs Rengar though, or in the team comp that CLG had.
The whole point of Rumble is to boss your lane, out CS them, and do tonnes of damage in team fights. Wickd failed at all 3 of these

I've tried to watch as much of the KR scene as I can so I'll give you my opinion based on all the matches I've seen. I put team in () for the players that haven't been to the big foreign tournaments.
Top: Shy Lilac Maknoon Mid: Ambition Ryu (KTB) Cornsalad (OP) Jungle: Dandy (MVP) Nollja (OP) Cloudtemplar Mokuza (NJSH) Support: Madlife Lustboy Mafa (KTB) AD: Score (KTB) SBS (OP) Pray
Cpt Jack was one of the best AD's but lately he seems to have struggled some. I really wish I knew more about why Reapered left/was kicked because they seemed much more consistent when he was there.

It's probably because every AD knows how to play him, and they want to use bans on champs that the other team is good at / is known for using, but they aren't good at them so they can't just pick it.

Thanks for the graph Suff, its crazy to see out of 62 games Dianna either got picked or banned in 60 games, thats absurdly high. I believe the only Janna pick was from SGS which play her as an AP mid, that match was quite entertaining though. @thenexusp: Teams almost never ban an AD, thats why you dont see Ez ban that much.
Also, Jayce just took a dive in this tournament compare to the World Final while hes either picked or ban.

Hey guys, I didn't read anything yet to avoid spoiling myself, are there particular games/series from the LB semi-finals that I should watch before today's matches start?

He's never banned because he's just slightly favored over other AD carries, you ban him and they pick up graves or corki or whatever and you get absurdly tiny benefit from your ban.
AD's in general arent very banned because of this.
