Wasn't that the quartfinals? The semi-finals were M5 vs CLG.NA and CLG.EU vs TPA, if memory serves.
Cant take LMS hipsters serious.

somebody earlier suggested why wickd hasnt picked irelia instead of rumble vs rengar, its because rengar completely rapes her in lane

I don't understand how people can consider Chauster almost on par with the best jungler. If there is something that set appart the top junglers, like Diamond, from others, is the fact that top junglers invade / dive / claim objectiv at every opportunities, things that I rarely see from any NA or EU jungler (aside Diamond). The first game between M5 and AZB for exemple was almost won by Diamond killing Hellios at his read lvl 3.
Ganking bot and cleaning wards is not what makes a top tier jungler.
I consider that jungling is the main reason Asian teams are better than others, their junglers put so much pressure in the first 20 min.

Chauster had a very good game in game 1 against Moscow 5, doing all the things you mentioned. He was repeatedly diving with Maokai and getting the kills. He performed OK in the next two games also, but you can't save every lane.

You cant do 'okay' vs M5 and expect to win, I was seriously disappointed that his jungle seemed to have lost his UMPH after he did so well the first game, they coulda won ;--; alas, there were other factors in the next 2 games not including Chauster's jungle that contributed to their defeat

And M5 vs. TPA at the same time. This tournament has made me very thankful for having two monitors available.

M5 won !!!! I left after the 2nd game, crushed by this 10-0 in favor of AZB. CLG.eu out but I guess losing vs TPA is not something you should be ashamed of.
It's funny how M5 evolved since their first appearance. At first I hated them because they were so cocky, like CLG.na but winning games, but now they are super manner, always smiling, and still winning some.
IPL 5 is showing that EU teams can compete against Asian teams.

Yep, EU is definately strong, even before this or the S2 Finals. NA on the other hand still far away from Asian level. TSM is terrible at this IPL5, CLG.NA fair a bit better but honestly they got the easiest group, beating a hugely overrated Fear and Iceland doesnt mean that much.

All in all, I think WE has the best shot for the champion spot since staying in winner brackets give WE a huge advantage, they play less games than anyone coming from Loser brackets thus less chance of burnout, also the 2 games advantage in the final is gonna be huge.

this just made me realize how clg.na didnt have the chance to play against one of the stronger asian teams, wonder if it would have been a stomp or if they could have held their own like clg.eu, fnatic and M5 did.

Froggen's early game build on Anivia was totally WTH and Bebe with the Farmpants, 438 cs in 40minutes as ad carry wtf.

Yeah. There was no excuse for CLG.EU losing that game after the way it started. That was depressing as a CLG fan.

Frankly I was DEEPLY unimpressed by wickeds rumble. How he could pick that champion twice in a row and get wrecked so hard both times boggles my mind.

Froggens game 2 build was weird as well, and frankly I don't think it paid off, but what truly killed them was Snoopeh and Wicked derping around the top tower in game 3.

Out of interest, is there any lane that rumble can actually win? Because so far I have only seen him loose in convincing fashion. It's also a very stupid pick if you consider that TPA's best player is usually bebe, so a dive champion to shut him down at least in the mid game would be fairly standard.

Hard weekend to be a CLG fan, they had a chance against WE and TPA but lost both, so in the end nothing is left.

Rumble wins a shit ton of lanes, it's just Wickd is notoriously bad at AP bruisers/Top picks. His Rumble this week is actually a vast improvement over his previous performances. And don't even suggest Vlad to him, zz.

Possible, but so far I haven't seen Rumble win anything (honestly I've hardly seen Rumble picked aside from Wicked, and he lost all 3 games i can remember on him, once at MLG and now these two).

Really shaking my head about why he picks him, when he is so strong on Irelia, Malphite or Olaf.

The only reason Wickd learned Rumble was he did so when Rumble was crazy-powerful just after his Flamespitter (Q) was bugfixed so it ended up doing massive damage. And since Rumble was so good, rather than having to constantly waste bans on a champion they knew was OP but couldn't play they made him learn it so at the very least they could FP him if it wasn't banned. He still has a fundamental problem playing AP Champions (which hurts CLG.eu massively).

When Froggen wants to play Lee Sin mid or CLG.eu want to run double AP, it falls upon Wickd to play Rumble because it's the only thing he can do. It's like a cheap plaster CLG.eu has stuck onto their drafting problems that never really heals the problem but they don't do anything about either.

Why do they do this? We have 4 to go, why do they have to make them parallel? Also, after yesterday, im afraid of casters :S

hype? Hype? HYPE?!? Hype doesnt even begin to describe how I get to see my old favorite team Fnatic play against the team I currently consider the strongest, and named rightfully, in the world! Rekkles vs WeiXiao, CaoMei vs Cyanide, xPeke vs Misaya! You do not even know!
The only way I would have been more hyped was if it was WeiXiao vs Doublelift in an orgy of glorious games

I haven't been able to watch too many of the broadcasts live, but I've noticed that there have been some team and player spotlights. Does anyone know if I can find these spotlights separately, perhaps on a youtube channel?

Welcome to the league of draven.

It was a really good idea for them to bring voice actors to ipl5 and have them annouce the teams.

The VA needs to stop repeating the same line. It becomes tiresome after the 5th "Who wants a piece of the champ?" He needs to start ad-libbing some context-specific lines instead.
