I think they said that they made a conscious choice to not have booths and have them be "interacting" with the crowd. Not a decision I particularly agree with but it was their decision.

Most people with any game knowledge think he's terrible but new players seem to like him because he's explanatory and presents himself well. There's something to be said or having a caster like that
