What patch are the S2 finals going to be played on?
That could really open up team comps I guess. And Chaox might not get to be 100% Corki.
Also, I'm sick of seeing Champion winrates after tournaments. They will be like Nunu 90% winrate! Corki 90%! Karthus 100%!
Half the time the champs are just like TSM/insert winning team's favorite champs.

I think short version of it is doublelift was homeless before college and looking for a place to stay. So travis contacted him through reddit and picked him up and fed him. Went to his f's to pick up his computer and let him stay with him for free. This was before doublelift got onto CLG and it was really early into the whole LoL scene. Doublelift helped travis set up his podcast and get that going. And ya.. there's alot more I'm probably missing here.
You can see on travis' youtube channel the full story. Basically theyre just two really sweet guys who looked out for eachother before they were known at all.

thats not the direct cause of why skarner got screwed over early though, it's the skarner + ryze combo vs shyv + morg, skarner is more vulnerable to counterjungling than most and with a morg who has blue lv1 and just keeps pushing he cant contest anything.

The final was so disappointing. Dig had an inferiority complex against TSM or something.
Also I guess scarra never studied during college. Dig had PLENTY of time to prepare and at the end they only managed to pull off one special strategy (and had to use it twice, only to be crushed by TSM)

Unfortunately, they don't realize they are setting a bad example for the rest of the community to follow, and this is most likely why none of the other competitive games (SC2, D2) take us seriously.
Ignoring the fact that they take us seriously enough to dislike us and have major community figures take potshots at us, it should be noted that some light trash talking(and that's what it is btw) is no more bad then any others and is about the same as Sc2's in manner for the most part. Which is leagues above most other scenes. Please take a closer look at the FPS, Dota, and the fighting.
While League should hold itself to a high standard nothing has really been overtly offensive and when it does happen it tends to be frowned on.

I've always thought that League was played by frat boys/university students, which is one of the reasons why a team like TSM is so popular.

...TSM needs to adjust its personality a little... i mean chaox and xpecial seem nice
but in the finals they looked like they outclassed dig

...TSM is popular because it's a self made team supported by a rabid fanbase who watched and helped it build from something small to being the League monolith that it is today.

All the TSM hate, lol. Their public cockiness is 9/10ths an act for the fans. The dumb 2-0 stuff is just playing to the crowd. Taking it any farther than that is just ignoring the obvious. Congrats to TSM for continuing their NA dominance. They have a real shot at the world championships.
People keep saying "this tourney shows that EU teams are better than NA teams". What that means is M5 and CLG.EU are better than NA teams. Fnatic and SK did not show us the most amazing games either (except SK vs CLG.EU). TSM clearly belongs on this stage. Now they need to prepare for M5 and Blaze and then hope they can handle their business against the rest.
I don't think they're a favorite by any stretch of the imagination, but to think they have little or no chance is silly. This team has really improved their coordination and communication. It's hard to believe how little time it has been since their constant public bickering with TRM.

I guess it's just me then, but TSM comes off as immature and douchey - two traits that shouldn't shine on a championship team. When I watch them stream and say baylife or downtalk their team every other sentence, it just reinforces the idea in my head that these guys shouldn't be an icon for the community. If you look at the recent UFC event, even though Sonnen talked heaps of shit to Silva, Silva dominated him, then shook his hand after the match and showed him respect. That, in my opinion, is how a champion should behave. Granted, it's not only TSM that does this, but they seem to be the poster boys for that type of attitude, and unfortunately a lot of the community imitates this sort of behavior.
But hey, maybe I'm just a TSM hater, I don't know. I just wish they would set a better example so that E-sports could be taken a bit more seriously.

When I started LoL I knew exactly who Reginald, TheOddOne, Chaox, Xpecial, TheRainMan and Dyrus were. They were in a team-house, released a lot of fun content and all had distinct personalities.
After following pro-LoL for over a year now TSM are still one of the only 3 teams I can recognise and know everyone on sight (the other 2 being the 2 CLG's).
TSM deserves their popularity through their charisma and their work in the community compared to most other pro-teams.
EDIT: still a regi-hater though. just pro-TSM.

why is the video game community so over sensitive? Or is it just teamliquid that's like this. I don't really go to any other forums or reddit or anything

And I get where people can say Regi comes off as a douche, and apparently TONS of people have issues with Dyrus that just escape me, but I don't get a "douchebag" vibe from any of the other members. Chaox is cocky, but show me an athlete pro athlete who's not.

Also, we're ragging on TSM for being immature and douchey... but M5 won the EU regional. Uhh....

I honestly don't understand why people care about how immature and douchey teams are. All that should matter is how well these teams play, and how well they work together.

Yeah, you're right. I suppose we see it the most from them is because they're always in the spotlight, haha.
And yes, Regi is the person I dislike with a passion. Dyrus just seems like he likes to have fun, but I can see where it gets annoying. Chaoxpecial is cool.
Edit : @Scarper - There's a reason professional sports teams are held to a certain standard, and not just judged by "how well they play". Sponsors, image, etc..
